“Hey dude, let’s come up with the stupidest stuff for men to wear.”
“And hire male models with zero esteem, we put on a fashion show and see if people buy the shit.”

  1. I cannot claim to be an expert in the field, but my understanding is, that the most important thing in arts field is to be ‘different’ and to be ‘noticed’ .

It is hard to do in thoroughly explored areas, like male or female clothes. One needs imagination and, dare I say, talent.

But for trans – – it is easy right now. Put a dude in an ugly dress – – and voila! A new show guaranteed to garner wide press coverage.

    Mission accomplished.

I salute the designers capitalizing on low hanging fruit.

    1. Food and restaurants are another area that is so thoroughly explored that creating something new in any given style is extraordinarily difficult.

Hence, the proliferation of various “fusion” restaurants.

“Fusion” restaurants are the “dude in an ugly dress” of the culinary world.

  2. To be honest, has anyone, at any time in the history of the human race, actually worn something displayed on the ‘catwalk’ in public?

This is not about fashion, trends, or whatever. it is about being edgy or shocking and getting noticed. Fashion designer WTF Over gets press for having some soyboy carry a fat pink ragdoll down the catwalk, and now they can sell plain white T-shirts for $300.

  3. If there’s not enough tequila to make me forget this, there isn’t enough tequila to get me to wear that on a dare.

Mexico only makes tequila in finite amounts, after all.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
