   To show they can, perhaps?

   Seriously … I got nothin’. But again, it’s rewarding those who didn’t “do the right thing” and it’s infuriating. Moreso than it would have been prior to the year of BLM. Kind of like an allergic reaction, maybe, after one’s been sensitized.

2. My guess is they are mostly nitwits who slept or bribed their way to the top. They have delusions of grandeur. They have no clue what to do. In the past, their handlers were a lot smarter, so it wasn’t as noticeable. Nowadays, the handlers are just as dumb.

      Leftists see government as a goal. They imagine themselves standing on the balcony in front of cheering crowds. Net result, they latch onto whatever will make them “liked” (vaccinating is the thing now, what is more noble than saving lives???) and use it for self agrandizement

3. I can see two angles.
   One is what CBM said, “government is the goal”. Competence is not a requirement; in fact if anything it is not wanted.
   The other is that the current crew is unusually stupid even by ordinary political standards. Biden was always barely there intellectually (which is why he routinely lied about his class ranks and steals the words of others). And in recent years the obvious dementia has only made matters worse. Harris is an even more atrocious hack who never would have risen above dog catcher if it hadn’t been for a combination of racist politics and the right friends in power.

4. This has been in my head since the Obama administration.

   Are they really that stupid? Or are they doing this on purpose. Neither one is good.

   There’s probably someone at the levers. Probably Chinese. The rest is a bozo explosion of stupidity, greed, and incompetence.
