Shit looks like it’s about to pop off down under.

Too bad they let themselves be disarmed.

    1. This was my thought as well.

Last I heard, when they did their gun confiscation, the estimates are the government got somewhere between 1/4 to 1/3 of the actual guns out there, and considered it a success.

Remember hearing (probably 5 years ago now) about an Aussie jeweler that gave up making jewelry and started making guns in his garage, because it was more profitable. I’m guessing he wasn’t the only one.

So, they have guns covered. Just need the freedom seeds to go with them now.

Before posting, looked it up. Actually 8 years ago the jeweler turned gun maker got caught. Still makes me wonder how many more are out there that haven’t been caught yet.

  1. It’s not a matter of if the government of Australia authorizes lethal force and Australian citizens are murdered by the government it’s a matter of when. Of course realistically that may only be one or two people. But one has to wonder how the population at large will react. Probably not well.

  2. And still when Mob or Monarch lays
Too rude hand on English ways,
The whisper wakes, the shudder plays,
    Across the reeds at Runnymede.
And Thames, that knows the moods of kings,
And crowds and priests and suchlike things,
Rolls deep and dreadful as he brings
    Their warning down from Runnymede!

    Kipling, natch.

  3. The province shut down all construction work for two weeks because they construction workers protested last weekend. They claim it was “To Stop the Spread,” but everyone thinks it was retaliation for not getting vaccinated, and protesting vaccinations.

Now the construction workers have nothing else to do, so expect the protests to get even bigger. Hear what they are chanting,

    EVERY DAY! EVERY DAY!

    What happens when this spreads?

  4. While I doubt this will kick off either a revolution or a bloody government crackdown, I do suspect this will have a pretty big political effect in the future, and may drive a pretty big wedge between the erstwhile representatives of the working people (the Aussie Labor Party & Unions) and the actual workers and tradies.
Currently, there’s lots of name calling by the Labor and Union leaders, including the use of the word ‘deplorable’. One hopes that the rank and file don’t forget it.

  5. Hmm.. When the Aussies were disarmed, outlaw motorcycle gangs and other gangs turned to making full auto weapons, and have done an outstanding job of creating all sorts of home-built sub-machine guns, some even with rifling.

Gonna be interesting to see these smgs with home-built suppressors start appearing.

And, yes, single-shot rifles suck in a combat situation. 500 single-shot rifles or shotguns? Will get you all the police weapons you and your mates want.

Wouldn’t be too hard to make some short-barreled bombards out of high-pressure pipe, enough to blast nails, bolts, whatever into the enemy.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
