I collected these shells from my shotgun and tossed them in a particular drawer so they would not be rolling around, never minded how they landed. I opened the drawer again a couple of hours later and this is what I saw.

THIS sort of thing, is why I told TDW- MarkII to purse- holster her sidearm, rather than loose-in-purse.
Glad you noted the problem prior to the bang.
My late sister in law had a purse with a separate gun compartment, accessible via a zipper from the side as I recall. The main drawback with purses as gun containers is that purse snatchers often successfully snatch purses, and so much for your defensive weapon.
I have several spare kydex holsters, so i just removed the belt clip from one. The bedside pistol stays in that full time. The trigger guard is completely covered but with a quick push from my thumb the holster snaps off and the gun is ready. With today’s glock style trigger safety (oh how I hate those) you should always have the gun holstered.
Whew not sure whether you should buy a lottery ticket before that luck wears off or if its already gone. Glad nothing went bang and thanks for reminding us of the danger.
Black Rhino Concealment makes a very nifty trigger guard holster thing I use on stash or desk guns with the guard tied off to something. Pull the pistol and the guard snaps off.

That’s why the only things that go in my weapon drawer are the gun, spare mag, tactical light and the cloth the gun lays on.
And you are 1,000% right. My explanation (not an excuse) is the total upending mess the moving has created and led to the brain fart.
