Police say a 40-year-old man was inside the barbershop when he started fighting with another person inside. The altercation quickly escalated and the man pulled out a gun and opened fire.
At that point, authorities say, another unidentified man took out his own gun and the shot the gunman multiple times in the chest. He was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital where he later died from his injuries.“The person who responded was a legal gun permit carrier,” said Philadelphia Police Captain Frank Llewellyn. “He responded and I guess he saved a lot of people in there.”

I bet the people in that barber shop are happy to have that “concealed carry killer” with them that day. Sure as hell a VPC member would have done nothing but bleed in unison with the rest of the victims.

Yeah, but mostly because she finds it profitable. Like Trayvon Martin’s parents are dancing in his blood all the way to fame and fortune.
You notice they never have any follow-up to the original stories. If they were honest, a lot of their “concealed carry killers” were justified in using deadly force. The will, of course, be the occasional knot-head that malfunctions and uses his gun in a criminal way, but it’s a rarity.
The guy in Philly will probably make their list. They will ignore all of the lives saved and focus on the criminal and what a shame it is that some “permit holder” gunned him down in cold blood. I can’t come up with the words to describe how much these people disgust me.
I’m stuck on the cognitive dissonance of all of this. At least a few of the “CCW killers” were ex-police or ex-military, so at one point were part of the exclusive club of people that the VPC thinks should be allowed to have guns.
No add to this the Michael Brown shooting, death of Eric Gardner an the #blacklivesmatter rallying cry that a cop shoots an unarmed black man every 28 hours.
How can cops be the only people good/smart/righteous/trained enough to carry a gun if they are gunning down black boys once a day?
ISTR that “every 28 hours” number is either completely bogus or dwarfed by the rate at which blacks kill each other. Something like an order of magnitude faster.
After Ferguson, gang members in Chicago killed a kid — 8 or 9 years old. He was innocent, just out playing, but was purposefully shot because gang thug’s thought he was a lookout. Months later they’re still marching for the drugged-up thug who attacked a cop, and have added another thug who shot at a cop to their signs, but that kid is forgotten.
They never follow up on their stories, and they also (reportedly; I’ve not trolled the site) use multiple sources reporting the same event(s) to inflate their numbers and they even list people who shoot in self-defense in their own homes and don’t have CCW licenses.
It’s all propaganda.
