  1. I will be the first to admit I’m far from proficient in ASL; my grandparents both used to teach ASL back in the Sixties and Seventies, they taught me a handful of words and phrases as a child (and my best friend in junior high/high school had deaf parents and enjoyed teaching me profanity). I have forgotten a lot of it, but basically have the vocabulary of a foul-mouthed toddler. So, I may be wrong about this, but…

I don’t see her use the word “choke” or “gag” at any point during this performance, which are two prominent words in the lyrics during this portion of the song.

There have been more than a few stories of ASL “interpreters” who were wholly unqualified and just made shit up these last few years.

    1. Don,

Hang out and do things with friends?

I hate bowling, but I will put on a pair of stinky shoes and roll gutterballs if the gang wants to.

    2. It’s not uncommon. Deafness varies by degrees, but even those who are totally deaf can still feel music via vibrations especially deep bass, enjoy watching the dancers if it’s the type of music that has dancers, and/or just enjoy spending time out with friends.

The real question is why anyone – hearing or dead – would want to attend a Cardi B concert.

    3. It’s all about the beat. You can feel it even if you can’t hear. Anyone driving within two blocks of a humpty cruiser knows this.

    1. You owe me a cell phone, as.my old one is now soaking in seltzer water. (But at least my sinuses are now clear, so thanks for that.)

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
