Not driving on ice is a very good idea. Snow, on the other hand, is no big deal if you have decent tires and drive at a moderate speed with a gentle hand and foot.

Yesterday there was a news story about some group trying to ban Jingle Bells, on the grounds that its first performance (in 1843?) was by a minstrel group in blackface. Even if you admit the — rather remote — possibility that this claim is true, so what?
