Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. Michael Bane had an interesting take after the El Paso Walmart shooting. He noted the guy had started shooting in the parking lot instead of going inside and then starting shooting. His conclusion was that these guys are using gamer tactics for raising their score. It’s all about claiming the fame as the biggest killer in history. It’s why 90% of them chose gun free zones to attack; better chance of not being shot before they do it.

Since they’re going for notoriety, that argues the best response besides killing their asses as soon as they get off a few shots is to ignore them. No news coverage, no breathless interruption of regular programming, nothing. Totally deprive them of the fame they’re after.

The obvious drawback is that the name and details will still get out, but it will be underground, secret information that will be jealously shared by like-minded (like-insane?) idiots.

As “It’s Just Boris” points out, no matter what happens the left is blaming it on law-abiding gun owners anyway.

None of us is going to affect these outcomes. There’s simply no good answer beside killing their asses as soon as they get off the first shot and make it hardly worthy of being on the news.

  2. I watched the video of the NZ attack and it was clear that the guy was moving, shooting, and managing his ammo like he had been playing a first person shooter.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
