This is a real article from HuffPo:

‘White People Food’ Is Creating An Unattainable Picture Of Health
There’s a perception in the black community that eating healthy means eating like white people, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Tanisha Gordon doesn’t see what white people love so much about cottage cheese. Or salads, especially when they’re topped with fussy ingredients like candied almonds, pickled carrots or Brussels slaw.

Gordon is a 37-year-old employee at an IT company in the Washington, D.C. area, and until recently, her diet was deeply saturated with fast food ― McDonald’s, Taco Bell, you name it. When her doctor diagnosed her last year with pre-diabetes and prescribed her a CPAP machine to help her sleep through the night, she began working with a nutritionist to clean up her diet. But the lifestyle change she sought would require more than cutting out Chicken McNuggets.

As a black woman, Gordon battled the perception that most of today’s healthy food is “white people food.”

“A lot of the time, when you go to restaurants now, they have these extravagant salads with all these different ingredients in it, like little walnuts and pickled onions ― like the stuff Panera sells,” Gordon told HuffPost. “For me personally, that’s like a white person’s food. A lot of the mainstream stuff that’s advertised comes across as being for white people.”

Charmaine Jones, a Washington D.C.-based dietician who is black, penned a short paper earlier this year called “Do I Have To Eat Like White People?” that shared the dietary struggles of her clients, whom she describes as primarily low-income African-Americans on D.C. Medicaid.

The majority of her clients seek nutrition strategies to treat obesity, Type 2 diabetes, heart disease or high cholesterol, a set of challenges that are particularly prevalent in the black community. Gordon was one of her clients.

Jones describes “white people food” as salads, fruits, yogurts, cottage cheeses and lean meats ― the standard low-fat, heart-healthy foods promoted by the U.S. Dietary Guidelines.

That is about enough of that nonsense.

Here are some facts, from this very same article:

  • Black Americans face a significantly higher risk of diabetes than white Americans, particularly for Type 2 diabetes: The prevalence is 1.4-fold to 2.3-fold higher in African-Americans.
  • The prevalence of high blood pressure in African-Americans in the United States is among the highest in the world. That high blood pressure is often attributed to higher rates of obesity and diabetes in the black community, as well as a gene that potentially makes African-Americans more salt sensitive.
  • African-American adults are nearly 1.5 times as likely to be obese as white adults. While approximately 32.6 percent of whites are obese, the rate for African-Americans stands at 47.8 percent.

I’m a cynical bastard.  So read something like this and my cynicism generator kicks into overtime.

HuffPo is the same media outlet that published this:

How Medical Racism Created A Black Anti-Abortion Movement

And this:

This Rapper Has A Solution To Police Shootings And Gun Violence
“If no Americans had no guns, there wouldn’t be no police killing people.”

So I look at these articles and it makes me think “I think HuffPo is secretly hiring people from Stormfront.”

If a media outlet were to push the the simultaneous ideas that:

  1. Opposing unlimited access to abortion for black people is racist.
  2. The police should be disarmed because of racism.
  3. It’s racist to suggest black people eat low fat, healthy food.

The my cynical reflex says Huffpo wants black people to wipe themselves out in a three step process of:

  1. Kill as many in the womb as possible.
  2. Create an uncontrollable Ferguson Effect that would turn poor black neighborhoods into actual war zones.
  3. Any blacks that managed to be born and avoid getting shot will die by 40 of a heart attack, stroke, or diabetes.

That can’t be right.  There is no way that many people that Woke would actively encouraging a suigenocide.

It just has to be that being Woke means not having any concept of the Law of Unintended Consequences.

Maybe I’m being paranoid, but I just can’t shake the thought that this article pretty much says:

“Salads are for white people, bilateral diabetic foot amputation is authentically black”

If you think I’m crazy, way back in the year 2006, The Boondocks mocked this in an episode called “The Itis.”

By the standards of 2018, this is racist and not Woke.

  1. Well if one wants to eat a genuine African diet, there are the shining examples of Biafra, Ethiopia, and Somalia. Guaranteed to lose weight, and no worries about diabetes.

  2. Ignoring the fact that the Fed.gov dietary guidelines are based on science as solid as the flat earth society claims (they were originally written by an aid to McGovern after all), this is Yet Another Example of why a week doesn’t go by that I don’t think the whole country has gone FN.

    1. At least in this case, and for the moment, it seems that the idiocy is limited to the tiny number of nutcases who take HuffPo seriously.

  3. “It just has to be that being Woke means not having any concept of the Law of Unintended Consequences.”

Pretty much this. While there’s a few Morlocks who know exactly what they’re going to get with a Leftist program, they are outnumbered by the Eloi dupes who honestly think that Socialism and Leftism will help people. Because they have not ever been allowed to see otherwise. They don’t know the history of Socialism and it’s failures, or big government- any of it.

A friend of mine who’s an Alabama grad and a teacher at a Christian school was first exposed to the Law of Unintended Consequences as part of her third grade curriculum, and was shocked & delighted that it existed.
