Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is okay.  Haagen Dazs is better.  The best I’ve ever had is Graeter’s Ice Cream out of Ohio, but can be found across the mid west.  Seriously, Graeter’s chocolate chunks are huge pieces of candy bar.

I do love the story of Ben & Jerry’s.

I’ve covered it before, but in a nutshell, Ben and Jerry were two liberal dudes.  They had a modest salary running the company.  They always conveniently didn’t mention as owners they were worth millions in company shares, but they would brag about their low salaries.

When they decided to retire, they offered a low salary, without the benefit of stock ownership, for an incoming CEO.  The demands were too high and the salary to low for anybody qualified, so they ratcheted up the salary offer again and again, until they finally sold out to Unilever Brands because nobody wanted to run the Ben & Jerry’s corporation for less than the salary of owning a couple of Ben & Jerry’s franchise locations.

But Ben & Jerry still have some swing and are the face of the company because it would go against their Hippie Vermont facade to admit they are part of a multinational consumer products conglomerate.  You can’t rail against S.C. Johnson and Frito Lay and then be part of one of their biggest competitors.

Then again, when has a virtuous Lefty ever not turned out to be a miserable, greedy, hypocrite?  Stalin ate caviar while 20 million people starved.

Ben & Jerry’s decided to take their ice cream super woke.

This from Ben & Jerry’s:

Together, Pecan Resist!

Alongside all those nutty chunks, this pint packs a powerful message under its lid: together, we can build a more just and equitable tomorrow. We can peacefully resist the Trump administration’s regressive and discriminatory policies and build a future that values inclusivity, equality, and justice for people of color, women, the LGBTQ community, refugees, and immigrants. Pecan Resist supports four organizations that are working on the front lines of the peaceful resistance, building a world that supports their values. Get to know them, then find Pecan Resist here!

Get To Know The Partners

Color of Change

Color of Change designs campaigns powerful enough to end practices that unfairly hold Black people back, and champions solutions that move everyone forward.

Honor the Earth

Honor the Earth works on issues of climate change, renewable energy, and environmental justice with Indigenous communities.

Neta

Neta is one of the fastest-growing independent media platforms led by people of color along the Texas-Mexico border.

Women’s March

Women’s March is committed to harnessing the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social change.

Lefty ice cream giving money to aggressively Lefty groups.

Color of Change is supposedly a civil rights organization that helps black people vote.  However it is most known for organizing harassment campaigns against advertisers on Fox News and other conservative outlets to try to get sponsors and advertisers to drop these shows.

Honor the Earth was a major organizer of protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline, actually harming the tribes that signed land leases hoping to collect revenue from the pipeline.

Neta is a “media” group that is more of a radical Left Wing propaganda organization that advocates for open borders and giving prepubescent children hormone therapy if they identify as transgender.

Women’s March, how could we forget the Jew hating Women’s March that is organized by terrorist supporter Linda Sarsour, and convicted terrorist bomber Rasmea Odeh, and has supported cop killing domestic terrorist Assata Shakur.

It seems like what Ben & Jerry’s is resisting is the rule of law and common human decency.

Why a company founded by two Jews would support a group that supports anti-Israel terrorism would be beyond me, except that this is what radical Leftism as become.

What I really don’t understand is why the CEO of Unilever lets this happen.  Go woke, go broke.  All this is going to go is make everyone on the Right find a different brand of ice cream.  Alienating half the country as a customer base is generally a bad idea.

I haven’t bought Ben & Jerry’s in years and I refuse to eat it.

All I can say is spread the word.

Maybe when the value of the brand drops by half, Unilever will finally tell those old radical Hippies to please shut the fuck up.

Spread the love

  1. Never bought B&J’s overpriced crap. Publix Premium ice cream is far better and more affordably priced. 😀

  2. Guess I will never buy B&J again. I guess these manufactures haven’t learned not to take political stands. It’s bad for business.

  3. B&J was woke before woke was a word. Well, before woke had this definition.

I haven’t had B&J since about 1995. Can’t boycott them any more than I already do.

I’m more concerned about Wrangler joining the anti-gun forces.

    1. There is always Mountain Khaki. A little on the spendy side but owned by the Remington family of companies.

I’m also pretty sure Red Head and Cabela’s brand are not going Woke any time soon.

  4. So two Jews honor a rabid Jew hater days after another Jew hater tried to emulate the Holocaust.

This sums up “liberal” Judaism perfectly

  5. I’m not going to miss Ben & Jerry’s. I can get better ice cream closer to home and free of political baggage. Plus the big tub of Eberhard’s is the price of a pint of that East Coast stuff.
