If you search in Walmart for Gun Safes (walmart.com) you are going to get pages and pages of different small and big cabinets and safes. One thing I saw is that the great majority of the items, including the rifle cabinets, come with free shipping.
The gun safes do have a shipping charge of $49.97 which is not bad at all, but I figure they drop it in front of your house and the rest of the moving is up to you.
There you go. No more excuses (other than being broke) not to have something to lock your guns.
Snap safe. Look it up.
Years ago, I saw a story that some reporter wanted to test Amazon’s free shipping, two day delivery. I guess it was when Prime was starting out and he figured he’d prove they were lying and ripping off people.
Long story shortened, he looked for the heaviest item he could find and picked a gun safe. He got it in two days, just like promised.
Nowadays, Walmart matches pretty much Amazon offers and the shipping, but doesn’t charge you the $125/year (or whatever it is today) membership fee.
Well, shipping at no additional charge anyway. 8>)

There is a **MAJOR** differnce between a gun cabnet and a gun safe. Make sure that you ager buying what tyou think you are buying.
Definitely agree with Joe. I have the Snapon gun security cabinet myself.
Lost the keys a couple years ago just before deer season. Called snapon – they were mailing me a new key – However, it wouldn’t arrive until after Deer season. Went on Amazon, purchased a set of $20 lock picks. watched a couple of youtube videos and got it open. (then found my original keys, had fallen out of my pocket at the office). I have picked up a new hobby as well. (Amateur locksmithing.)
Not only that, they are pretty thin steel – basic hand tools would get you in “destructively” in short order. Not to mention any power tools.
Most real “safes” aren’t much better though. It takes some pretty tough steel to resist a grinder with a cutting wheel.
Safes are not expected to be impenetrable. They are usually at rated how long it takes an individual with store-bought power tools to cut through them.
It’s not *that* impressive – the biggest deterrence is the noise that is going to attract attention.
