FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) – Hundreds of migrants from the U.S.-Mexico border will be sent to Broward County, the county announced Thursday.
County officials say the federal government will be sending immigrants on a weekly basis.
However, officials said, the immigrants will be sent without “designated shelters or funding to house them, feed them, and keep them safe.”

“This is irresponsible policy. To bring hundreds of people here every week without providing the necessary resources to house and feed them is inhumane,” Bogen said. “Although our Commission has not had the chance to address this issue, in my opinion, the people that we can’t find shelter for and will become homeless, I would suggest, that we bring them to the Trump hotels and ask the President to open his heart and home as well.”

Broward’s release ended with the following statement: “Broward County is not a sanctuary city and the Florida Senate recently passed a controversial bill banning such cities in the state.

Officials: Hundreds of migrants to be sent to Broward County

What do Debbie Wasserman Schulz county wants? To keep the poor families in cages near the border? Liberals are heartless bastards.

Dear President, please drop the immigrants in US 1 in Ft Lauderdale. Plenty of hotels there and the beach is a great place to be if they can’t get a hotel room. Maybe we should donate tents and blue tarps.

  1. Wondering why you intentionally omitted this quote from your post. It was included in the WSVN link:

“We would be happy to help people. I think everybody here cares about people, and we want to help people, but we need the resources to do that,” he said. “It’s like asking someone to drive a car without giving them the wheels.”

I’ll just take a crazy guess and say it’s because if you include it in your post, your headline and your narrative disappear

Broward County has no problem taking care of immigrants. All they want is help from the dipsh*t who is sending them to South Florida and playing politics with human lives.

    1. Because it is unmitigated bullshit from him. “Oh yes, we would love to help, but we simply can’t because (insert excuse here).” which I already quoted: no funding.

Now, don’t forget Broward had denominated itself as Sanctuary and they weren’t getting any federal funding either when it was just for political showmanship. They wrote a check with their mouths, ass collection is coming.

PS: the new mayor for Miami-Dade cancelled the Sanctuary status last year. I bet city hall is happy to have dodged that bullet.

  2. I think this is brilliant on Trumps part. He is showing America the true left- hate filled selfish lying people wreaked with guilt. I love it

  3. So, in this case, you edit stuff out that you have a feeling is “unmitigated bullshit” instead of including it and then addressing it in the comments. That is so unlike you. Usually you love parsing out “BS” and mocking it as such in your post.

Seems kind of hypocritical for a guy who loves to harangue the other side for pushing a narrative by deception and falsities.

There are a good number of Americans who don’t mind helping those in need, particularly those who come to this country looking for a better life or escaping a bad situation in their country of birth. That’s actually what America and being American is about for many. But to transport hundreds of these people to South Florida and not provide any kind of assistance for the local governments to cope with it is, well, exactly what we would expect from a person playing politics with the lives of human beings…and commentator Curby confirms that in his comment.

Send the migrants, but send money, too, and (most of) the people of Broward County will be happy to help out any way they can.

    1. Craig, you can whine and pester, but you also know I am right. Now, If I were a true ass, I would have not provide you the link to go read the article and allow you to be all incensed.
Question: When Broward County proclaimed itself a Sanctuary county, they did so without the necessary funding to provide for the poor and destitute from other countries? That would be both irresponsible and playing politics with such a delicate subject matter in order to appear morally superior.
You are just pissed because the were caught in their hypocrisy and now have to pay the bill.

  4. I have yet to see one of the wealthy limousine liberal types open up their homes or wallets. They’re the ones that think the illegals should be allowed in. Let them pay for it.

  5. Craig: I cannot speak to the veracity of your assertions. Similarly, Michael ref Miguel ‘s assertions. However, my clock says 1943 hours EDT on 23 May 2019, and your two comments are there to read.

So, ref being banned, well, the evidence presently is that, in that regard, you are mistaken.

  6. “Trump has threatened to cut off certain federal grants from sanctuary cities. Miami-Dade County received a warning letter in April because it had been identified as a sanctuary city under the Obama Administration, according to the Herald. In the warning letter, the Justice Department threatened to cancel a federal grant that the county receives annually”. Found at http://time.com/4890845/miami-sanctuary-city-immigration-donald-trump/

That notorious Trump worshipping screed, Time.com

It DOES appear that Our Dear Leader, Mr. Obama, had esteemed Miami to be a sanctuary city.

Sorta seems as if “Broward County, and any city in it, are not and have never been “sanctuary cities.” Google it. It’s out there.”, Is it’s own bit of misdirection.

I think the ball is in your corner, Craig. Lessee how you play it.
