What are these people hoping to accomplish?
Comparing this to the Civil Rights movement under MLK, these people are not engendering sympathy. They are not trying to win hearts and minds.
They are trying to intimidate people. Until the moderate people who just want to be left alone to live their lives acquiesce to the mob’s demands, they will not have a good night’s rest.
That is the essence of terrorism. Right now, it’s terrorism that just annoys and harasses people instead od terrorism that causes casualties.
I can only see this getting worse.
I expect that most of these people in the suburbs just want to be left alone. Their political activism goes only as far as Facebook posts and bumper stickers. They don’t want to march in the streets and get pepper-sprayed for a cause.
So what will the mob do? Increase the intensity of their antics.
The caterwauling and chanting will turn to window-smashing and property damage like downtown Portland.
Cars parked in driveways will be vandalized, possibly to the point of being totaled.
This is the other side of the danger in what wrote about the other day when 9-1-1 was overwhelmed. When the mob comes to the suburbs to start smashing things, it will be when the mob is advancing a shield wall against police downtown. The police will be so busy trying to stop downtown from being destroyed that they will be incapable of doing anything to stop the mob violence in the suburbs.
I do not say this lightly, there is a Marxist pogrom coming to the Portland suburbs to attack the normals who live there. There will be broken windows and fires set.

There was a proud boy vs antifa melee a few hours ago. It’s real interesting to watch videos from both sides, because both of them will start their videos at different times, each showing that the other was the aggressor.

If things deteriorate to the point you’ve described, both law enforcement and the military wil have become fair game. For all their technology and andvanced heavy weaponry,, they are badly outnumbered and they know it. Ask those who have spent literally DECADES in the Middle East trying to take down what ammounts to a few thousand goat herders armed with only AK’s and pipe bombs how that scenario will play out for them, especially given how thin their resources are already stretched.

Have you made sure your homeowners, auto, and everything else insurance is topped off? Do you have self defense insurance? Have you made sure they will pay your bail and your lawyer up front? Liability insurance?
Found a friend to store any keepsakes and valuables and copies of important papers and ID outside the city/county/ state for you? Made a video and photo recording of everything in your domicile? Made a bug out bag? Because there is a definite non-zero chance you may need this to reconstruct your life as best you can.
Self defense: Prepare your defenses. Remove anything flammable that you can from your house and yard. Harden the doors and windows. Make sure the locks and latches are solid. Add locks to interior doors? Maybe consider adding bars or hurricane film to the glass? Add a few big fire extinguishers to your home? Stage Water hoses? Turn off the gas to the grill or fireplace logs? More exterior lights? Cameras?
The good news is these domestic terrorists have not set out to intentionally kill anyone yet. They haven’t intentionally burnt down homes or apartment buildings yet. YET? That does not mean they won’t sometime in the future. This mob has the self control of a psychopathic three year old.
