They are protesting the death of Patrick Kimmons who after shooting two people, was rendered hors de combat by Portland PD. somebody got the rumor started that Mr. Simmons was unarmed and was shot some 700 times in the back so this being Portland, the crazies came out to play.
The lady was not happy about the noise and the Left Wing Birds of Annoyance came to mess with her. Classy!
After that, the usual “F Us” back and forth between other shouting parties, no exchange of violence.
Screaming in someone’s face with a megaphone is battery, not free speech. Just because you aren’t physically touching someone doesn’t mean that you cannot injure them.
You are literally using speech as a weapon. If that happens to me, someone is getting a snoot full of pepper spray.
Heckler’s Censorship is not protected speech
Not so much using “speech” as a weapon, but rather using loud noise as a weapon. It’s perfectly well documented that loud noise causes injury, that’s why OSHA has rules about noise exposure and hearing protection. And why I wear ear plugs on small airplanes.

Oh yeah, you’re really making great optics for yourselves. Yelling at and harassing a literal little old lady in a wheel chair. A lady who clearly has more brain cells, composure and patience than all of your protesters combined.
A judiciously administered airgun pellet in his ear might lead him to hear the word and know the error his ways.
True. But against a threat of serious bodily injury, deadly force is (or should be) authorized.
