That stayed in the back of my brain simmering till I bumped on the video mentioned in the Miami Herald article, found the quote:

The zig-zag flying things? Simple, plain and common dust flying in front of a light source! I think somebody has been bingeing on action films lately and got a woody watching the video. I don’t know if to award David Neal and Charles Rabin (the authors of the article) with a Typing Monkey Meme, a Facepalm Meme or something else.

I am disappointed. I wanted to see the zig-zagging bullets flying through the air. Miami – Herald I want my money back !
Sigh… Reality is dust as you said… Not CGI bullets… Double sigh
Maybe they should combine this zig zagging technology with the heat-seeking bullets that cook the deer meat as you kill it. Could make for a nice cross-hatching on those steaks.
