That’s it. The floodgates are open for unaccompanied minors.
Every poor person from the Rio Grande to the Drake Passage has an incentive to send their kids north to the US.
Cross reference this against the numerous accusations against Hollyweird and the Beltway ‘elite’ of being sex offenders, and it makes more sense.
Two thoughts:
First: Extrapolate that policy to 16- and 17-year-old males from Middle East nations that hate America and fund known terrorist groups.
Second: If that hypothetical 9-year-old were from Mexico, the speech would say, “We’re not expelling that 9-year-old to Guatemala when that child’s country of origin is El Salvador, Honduras, or Mexico.”
IOW, because we can’t blanket expel to one country because not everyone is from there, we just won’t expel anybody.
This is now countries lose their national identity and die from within.
