I’m going to become a professor of Woodchipper Studies.

The lab section of the course is going to be wild.

I have a feeling that I will have no shortage of volunteers for demonstrations.  All one has to do is advocate for pedophilia as a sexual identity deserving of dignity.

  1. Speaking as a former academician myself…

Somehow, I don’t think this is the sort of “intellectual freedom” tenure is supposed to protect and ensure.

Parents and alumni need to see this and demand the school terminate its association with this one. As well as the head of the department who didn’t already start that process. And the dean over that department. Maybe that would get the message across.

    1. Irrelevant in this case.

Tenure means the institution can’t fire you for expressing your thoughts. It doesn’t say they have to assign you classes, or (depending on the institution) provide office space or other support for, say, grant application processing. It also is no protection if the department itself is eliminated.

Point being, tenure or no, the school has options. The tuition payers and alumni can, if they choose, apply pressure to get the school to exercise them.

    2. Dang, no edit button.

I should have been more clear … Pre-coffee.

Whether this person has tenure or not, supporting child predation is not the sort of thing tenure is intended to protect.

Sadly, I expect – unless the parents and alumni are quite firm in their opposition – this one is likely to get tenure sooner than later. The Left protect their own even when they shouldn’t.

  2. Please tell us what you would title a lecture that covered the engineering of a pedophile optimized homogenizer. Go heavy on the engineering jargon.

  3. I guess if the “open-minded tolerant” people just put down their cards and said anything goes, we narrow-minded folks might protest. 😏
