Andy Ngo has posted more video from this weekend’s Antifa violence.

I hate to be the guy that breaks it to the independent journalists covering Antifa violence in Portland or anywhere else, but the Federal courts have made it crystal clear that the police have absolutely no duty to protect you.

Warren v. DC is a Federal Court of Appeals case that made it clear that the police have no duty to protect individual citizens under the Public Duty Doctrine.

Lozito v. NYC was dismissed by a judge for the same reason when two of “New York’s finest” hid in the conductor car of a NYC Subway and watched as Maksim Gelman, who an APB was issued for, stabbed Lozito multiple times.

The police have absolutely no obligation to step in a defend a citizen journalist from being maced and beaten by Antifa.

Portland police can stand around with their thumbs up their asses and Antifa literally curb stomp a journalist to death in a city street and there is nothing anybody can do about it.

I’m actually quite sure that Portland police have been given that order by the city government and mayor.

When asked about this, Portland police had this bullshit response.

Except that after all the violence that was captured on video, there were only three arrests made and none for the attacks on citizen journalists.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said Willy Cannon, 25, was charged with a misdemeanor for abusing a memorial and a felony for criminal mischief. In addition to Cannon, the sheriff’s office said Brandon Farley, 31, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and Heaven Davis, 19, was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief.

So Antifa goons can attack journalists, beat them, and the police will ignore it when it’s happening and not do anything about it after the fact.

I have a feeling someday soon, some well-intentioned citizen journalist will be killed by Antifa, and the city government will blame the citizen journalist and figure out how to suspend the First Amendment in Portland.

The police are not there to protect you, and if the police are on the side of the thugs, don’t bother defending yourself because you will go to jail for that.

It’s best to stay away from Antifa in Blue states if you want to live or avoid prison.

Spread the love

  1. When the police won’t do their job, then the citizens should respond with vigilante justice. The people specifically empower the police to protect people to stop normal people from going nuts.

    1. That’s not the point at all.
The point is that protection of citizens IS NOT the police’s job. Arresting criminals is. Now, it may be that Portland police aren’t doing that either. But still, that’s not the point.
Andy Ngo and all the other journalists who are confused about this need to get unconfused. They need to understand that the police has no duty to protect them, and that this fact is black letter law sustained by Supreme Court precedents. Furthermore, as journalists, it’s their job not just to understand this, but to make all their readers/viewers/listeners understand it, too.
Then of course they can add to it the obvious point, which is that this is why you need to be able to practice self-defense, and why Bloomberg’s attempt to outlaw self-defense is so utterly evil.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
