About Unicorns, fields of marshmallows and denying reality…

In every case, the victim failed to acknowledge the reality of the situation.  In every case, failing to acknowledge reality led to negative consequences for the victim.

I am enjoying the heck out of Greg Ellifritz’s posts. I find myself saying way too often “That is exactly what I mean!” making me realize I need more practice on this writing thing.  Make sure you follow him.

  1. Used to be a blog by a psychiatrist who seemed to have his head on straight, who had a long piece on this subject. One of his patients was a woman who insisted, no matter what, that “I can go where I want and do what I want and wear what I want!” Which included walking in places where a single male in his right mind wouldn’t go, wearing rather skimpy attire.

She flatly refused to deal with the fact that, like it or not, it was NOT a good idea. Because “I have the right-“, etc.
