Nueces County: Leave a baby abandoned in a car to go see a movie & you are OK.

Even though is illegal to leave a baby abandoned in a car and the Corpus Christi Police Department knows it, you get to go free if you belong to that “special group.”

“What they found out is that the family is from Saudi Arabia and they said that this is culturally acceptable for them — it’s normal.”
Authorities aren’t sure how long the family has been living in the United States, but decided to show “cultural sensitivity” and let the family go this time.

Translation: We were scared shitless of being called racist so we decided to let them go. However…

“If it was someone who grew up in the United States, of course the outcome may be very different,”

Equal Protection Under The Law is not even given the appearance of being applied.  And this is not an exception, not a bug, but the result of many years of liberalism run amok allowing it to carve special and ever-changing status to alter the legal structure of the country and run it toward chaos.

  1. wikipedia: The rule of law is the legal principle that law should govern a nation, as opposed to being governed by arbitrary decisions of individual government officials.

Well, so much for that principle.

  2. This makes no sense. If you left a baby in a car in the hot desert weather in Saudi Arabia, it’d be dead in a matter of minutes rather than the half hour or so it’ll take here. If anything, it should be more of a problem in their culture than it is in ours, unless killing babies is par for the course.
