Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

NRA AM: Ellen’s Faux Apology not being bought.

Apparently Ellen’s has felt some heat for her early screw up in its tickets and issued an official “The Dog Ate My Homework” apology and changed the message the bill.

Here is the link to Colin Noir’s Facebook page where the full size “apology” can be read. I am going to concentrate in one passage:

Early this morning, we began posting a message on the bottom of our receipts stating that Ellen’s intends to donate a portion of our proceeds this week toward the efforts of finding common ground and compromise in the fight to eliminate needless gun violence, especially in our schools and against our dedicated police officers.

With a limited number of characters available for that message, we simplified it to say we support “reasonable and effective gun regulations” toward that end.

What was not expected was that those two words — reasonable and effective — would be misinterpreted as our support for gun control. The mistake was an honest one. The opposite is true.

You cannot claim the “I ran out of character’s space”  excuse and then add more words to the message as it only serves to confirm you are full of it.  I would have had more respect if they had stick to their guns (pun intended) rather than come up with a shitty excuse.

What is the expression making the rounds? “Get woke, go broke.”

Hat Tip to last Thirdpower who should be writing this in his own blog 🙂

NoRA’s Anti-Gun/Anti-NRA rally in Dallas. Not going well.

These are the first pics from their rally. These are their pictures, not from an NRA member looking for a less than favorable angle.

I am sure when the celebrities appear with their armed entourage and bussed “gun control activists”, the crowd will grow…some

I know there are fellow NRA members that were going to drop by, pretend they are on their side to just collect swag to be used in future trips to the range.  And the Evil Princess more than likely will be getting us some pictures for further analysis.

I will make a prediction: They will blame the lack of attendance on people being afraid on a supposed threat of violence by NRA members or some related horse shit.

Update: Video from the location by a local TV Journalist.

I blame Disney

A man was mauled to death by a wounded bear this week when he foolishly tried to take a photograph alongside the apex predator — the third wild animal-related selfie fatality in this region of India in less than a year, according to reports. The victim, identified by local media as Prabhu Bhatara, was driving a group of people home from a wedding in an SUV when he stopped to relieve himself in a forest area in the eastern Indian state of Odisha on Wednesday evening, the Hindustan Times reported. Bhatara then spotted an injured bear and for some reason, decided to take a selfie with the creature, according to the report.

Man mauled to death by bear while taking selfie with it

Dumb ass thought he was getting Baloo and ended up being supper for the real thing and wounded to boot.

Live stupid, die Stupid,

From our correspondant at the NRA AM.

Jeff B. is having the time of his life in Dallas and send these pics just to make us jealous.

Browning X-Bolt. The one in the middle is kinda attractive.

Blaser Straight Pull.  That is some gorgeous wood.

Brownells has come out with their own ARs and a classic look.

Henry Rifles: From classic to tactical.  I think Jeff is into rifles, not sure.

H&K VP9

Dan Wesson 9mm. That is pretty enough for BBQ gun.

Colt Diamondback. I likes!

And let’s close with an overview of Smith and Wesson handguns.

Now everybody be nice and tell Jeff how much we hate him for being there.

Seriously, thanks Jeff! Keep sending what you think is cool and we will weep in the privacy of our homes.  🙂

I just caught this on TV

Yeti Coolers in a Coors commercial.

This commercial was very likely filmed long time before the controversy. My memory could not remember Coos being Anti-Gun and also I could not find any recent reference about the company’s stance on the Second Amendment.

Maybe Coors needs to be informed about Yeti’s asshole behavior and that their beer should not be associated with them
