Domestic Violence: Revises prohibition on sale or transfer of firearms to persons convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence offenses; prohibits persons convicted of misdemeanor offense of domestic violence from possessing firearm or ammunition; requires persons convicted of misdemeanor offenses of domestic violence to surrender all firearms & ammunition; provides requirements for law enforcement officers carrying out court order & taking possession of firearms & ammunition; requires all law enforcement agencies to develop certain policies & procedures; authorizes defendant to elect to transfer all firearms & ammunitions that he or she owns to another person.

I am going to confess I am a bit puzzled by this bill and I might be overreaching:

Does this mean that the simple accusation and/or arrest for Domestic Violence will make you a prohibited person in Florida? And then the bill goes into a description of a convoluted process to surrender or transfer firearms and also an automatic search warrant to search the location of a subject with a simple sworn statement by a third party saying he did not relinquish all guns and ammo. This last one should be interesting to see how gets abused by pissed off spouses.

Same as with HB 289, this bill wants you to fill a future ATF 4474-like form and go through background check whenever you want to buy a box of ammunition.

A man at an Elizabeth Warren event managed to ask an honest question.  Her answer was exactly what you’d expect.

An audience member brings up the Texas church hero while at an Elizabeth Warren event, asks, “Will you support a universal conceal carry law for everyone in the country who’s willing to be licensed and checked by the government?”

“No.”

Why not?  These are people who voluntarily go through background checks, probably with fingerprints, firearm safety training, and jump through every legal hoop to be allowed to lawfully carry concealed.  Why no let them?

Because it’s not about making people safer, it’s about controlling those people who want to legally own guns.

Qasem Soleimani was the leader of Iran’s Quds Force.  The Quds Force is the Ayatollah’s version of the Green Berets, and Soleimani was their leader.  The Quds Force is Iran’s military wing that supports radical Islamist forces outside of Iran, giving them weapons and training.  It has helped Hezbollah attack Israel and the US for over 30 years.  Soleimani helped plan the terrorist attack on the Benghazi embassy.

Some say that he was critical in defeating ISIS, yes, but only because Iran supported the Islamist dictator Bashar al-Assad, because they used Syria as a jumping-off-point to supply weapons into the Palestinian territories that border Syria.

Hate crime suspect Tiffany Harris arrested for third time in one week

Tiffany Harris — arrested and released twice in three days after being charged in separate misdemeanor assaults in Brooklyn, including on a trio of Orthodox Jewish women — was arrested a third time on New Year’s Eve.

Harris was picked up by New York City Sheriff’s deputies at a Brownsville, Brooklyn, hotel on an arrest warrant issued earlier Tuesday after she allegedly failed to comply with court-ordered monitoring, officials said.

She had allegedly blown off an appointment with social workers at Brooklyn Justice Initiatives, which runs a supervised release program that helps defendants make their court dates and connect with such services as drug treatment and mental health counseling.

“They issued a bench warrant around 5 p.m. this evening,” New York City Sheriff Joseph Fucito told The Post.

I guess movie tickets and dinner at Applebees was not enough of a bribe from Mayor de Blasio to get her to go to court.

A lead materialized that she might be at the Hotel Omega, and investigators were able to confirm through surveillance video that Harris was there, the Sheriff said.

Harris was arrested at 10:15 p.m., and was being held pending an arraignment expected Wednesday morning.

Harris’s lawyer said the judge issued the warrant because of the negative publicity.

See, it’s not that skipping out on her court appearance was bad, it’s that that all those Conservative newspapers have been unfairly targeting this poor woman.

“She went to the office as instructed, gave the information she needed, clearly she wanted to leave,” Lisa Schreibersdorf said. “Anyone would want to leave in that circumstance, no one felt she did anything wrong.”

Of course she’s the victim.  How can she not be the victim?

The people that she attacked?  Those people were Jewish and/or white, who cares about them.

She did nothing wrong by committing multiple acts of assault then skipping her court date.

You know, just know that she will do this again and again and again because the city government doesn’t want to stop her.
