SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. —A Southbridge teacher is accused of leaving ammunition in a school stairwell Thursday morning before calling police to report it.
Southbridge police said high school biology teacher Alfred Purcell III, 57, of Woodstock, Connecticut, reported to staff that he had just found one live round of 9 mm ammunition in the rear stairwell. The school was placed on lock down.

Added bonus, he likely doesn’t have a Massachusetts non-resident permit, meaning posession of ammunition or ammunition components is a felony. Because gun control laws totally prevent crime.
It’s not surprising how few people have a non-resident. It costs $100 per year, and you have to apply in person at the FRB’s HQ in Chelsea before getting it. You used to have to go back there every year to renew it, but now you can renew by mail each year for 6 years until needing to go back. Oh, and it takes them about 4 months to process a renewal app (which is the same lengthy form as the new permit app).

I had to chuckle knowingly at that.
I took out the shop vac and cleaned my SUV last weekend. I wound up with several empty cases in the tub by the time I was done and went to empty it. Mostly .22LR, but a .223 and somehow a 9mm (because I rarely shoot 9mm) got in there, too.
