The sad part is that the Mayor has been made aware of the situation but refuses to send police to deal with people who are Taxpayers and doing good for his local community.

Actually, Detroit’s had a great Police Chief, James Craig, for about five years now. He openly supports armed self defense. The newer mayor is a dedicated businessman, and of course a liberal, but it’s a start. While the crime rate is still very high, there’s been no resistance-type activity here, and I suspect that Craig is part of the reason for that. The city has a long long way to go, but there’s some hope.
