    1. Then again, a lot of criminals just aren’t that bright … especially when it’s a spur-of-the-moment thing, as I would guess this might be.

    2. If the car is stolen, then the PBSO has another lead to investigate, and if they find the car they have fingerprints and other identifying evidence to gather and process. It’s extremely likely that someone who would violently attack a drive-thru attendant probably has other crimes on record.

      All of that evidence is far more definitive than a random tipster’s hunch that the backs of those heads look like someone they might know.

      That’s assuming, of course, they actually want to investigate this.
