The cause of the explosion is “under investigation.” It is not uncommon for fuel thieves to tap pipelines and steal gasoline. Sometimes the gamble does not pay off and a roasting occurs. However, this mass incineration is special when you consider people went willingly to a fountain of gasoline to steal a couple of gallons.

I was flabbergasted to see so many folks moving about in a shower of gasoline. You’re right that tapping is not uncommon, nor are pipeline fires like this — they regularly happen in Africa.
And these are the people the Democrats are trying to let in and stay here by the tens of thousands?
I have family near there, and the reason people did something so foolish is desperation. The gas shortage has been going on for weeks. I suspect at least some of the victims of the explosions were trying to steal gas because they couldn’t find any for sale.
In Guanajuato, no gas has meant no taxis or other alternatives. For many, it’s meant not being able to travel further than they could walk.
