Russia is to toughen its child sex laws this month to automatically jail repeat paedophiles for life in harsh polar prisons.
Monsters who sexually abuse children should serve their sentences in hard labour penal colonies in the Arctic, where they could be forced to work in Siberian mines, the country’s parliamentary speaker said.
The new legislation is being pushed through after a horrific case this week of a girl, five, who was abducted by a recidivist paedophile and his lover, then raped and stabbed to death.
Parliamentary speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, a close ally of Vladimir Putin, said the ‘terrible tragedy’ of Veronika’s abuse and death showed the urgency of toughening laws.
‘One of the detained men turned out to be a formerly convicted paedophile,’ he said.
‘Let’s do everything for the law on life sentences for paedophiles to be adopted in January.’

However, I have read The Gulag Archipelago and One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, and that level of isolation and punitive cruelty is acceptable for pedophiles.
It’s difficult to be a rapist when your appendages have turned black and died from frostbite.
We don’t have anything like Siberia in the US (Alaska is much more mild). Maybe we can work out a trade deal with the Russians that we can send our pedophiles to them for hard labor.

The AK arctic gets very harsh. Galena at -40 is punishing. The interior gets none of the ocean tempering that the coast receives. That is the major difference between AK and Siberia, landmass away from the ocean makes the differnce.
I would be more than willing to see the perverts all sentenced to hard labor in Arctic Village or Fort Yukon. It may not be Siberia, but I can assure you one winter in the AK bush will disincentive repeat offenders.
To many years ago and way to close to today I and my lady were interviewed regarding my former friend. Turns out that he had been sexually abusing his step daughters. Turns out that he had a history of this. Turns out hat he is exactly the sort of person that should be tried by a jury and in the end they should give their decision, feet first or head first.
To give you an idea of just how sharp this dude was, in a statement to the prosecutor he stated that I was there watching as he did the dirty. He never realized that he had admitted to the crimes right there.
And for the record, no, I wasn’t anywhere near him when he was abusing children. I can prove it. He’s still alive.
At the end of the interview the detective asked me: What do you think should be done to him?
My answer: When he is found guilty, he should be placed in genpop.
The detective looked at me and did a double take. “ahhh, thank you…?”
He and I both know what that meant. It meant a death sentence for creep.
The detective also mentioned that when I sat down I sat down in the only chair in the room which the camera’s could not see. I wonder how that happened?
Our state is also a two party consent state for audio recordings. When we started the interview I asked “Is this being recorded?” The detective said “yes”. This meant that my recording of the interview was also covered.
