Illinois is the number one source for guns traced in crimes within itself 5,337 guns recovered. If we add all the states shown plus the total indicated for the additional 34 states, we get only get 4,749 guns. Allow me to say it this way: Guns from 48 states recovered in Illinois are not even half of the guns sourced from Illinois.
Lying is their default position.

But, but, but, it’s unpossable for criminals to get guns in Illinois, so therefore they must be smuggled in from somewhere else. We need more gun laws the criminal class will ignore while we defund the popo.

This is a story they’ve been telling for a long time. I remember reading a long story in the Chicago Tribune’s Sunday magazine blaming guns from Indiana for Chicago’s crime in 1968.
