Those numbers only suck if you accept the premise that the Democrats’ goal in de-funding and de-powering police is to increase safety for the community as a whole.
Forget that premise; it is false.
Democrats’ goal in de-funding and de-powering police is to increase the occupational safety of their core constituency — criminals — which in turn increases their own power and influence.
Once you start from that premise, everything Democrats do suddenly makes sense.
And if you start from that assumption, these numbers don’t suck at all! In the words of Tony the Tiger, “They’re GRRREAT!” That it also increases fear in everyone else is just a happy side effect they can use to keep pushing the false premise.
However, the rest of us should be taking note: This is a preview of coming attractions in your own area. Prepare accordingly.
I’ve theorized for a long time that all the riots and great reset is actually very simple: a return to feudalism.
A clear unquestioned ruling class with endless peons whose lives are more or less dedicated to serving the elites with no hope of improving their own position.
Best of all, we have history to look at. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Except the concept of feudalism had obligations going both ways. Even the pharaohs had an obligation to govern their people well, keeping them fed, employed, and (relatively) safe.
What the modern left wants is absolute power, no obligations, and the adulation of the masses (willing or not).
It’s more like absolutism. As Rob Crawford mentioned, feudalism has obligations both ways and for the most part the ruling class looked after their subjects because they were not stupid.
That changed when feudalism became so inbred and corrupt that it turned in what is now known as absolutism in the 18th century.
And THAT is what these assholes want to relive as it was a system without checks and balances.
