Fulton announced Saturday that she would launch her campaign for the District 1 seat, which will be relinquished in 2020 by the term-limited Commissioner Barbara Jordan. Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert is also running for the seat, one of five up for grabs after Miami-Dade voters approved a two-term limit for the 13-member board in 2012. Miami Gardens is the biggest city in District 1.
Fulton, who plans to formally announce her run on Monday, campaigned for Hillary Clinton in 2016. She has said she is not anti-gun but promotes gun-control measures that would tighten background checks and restrict private gun sales.
“Our county must continue moving forward so our families are safe from violence, can afford to live in Miami-Dade, and have access to good paying jobs,” she said in her statement. “I am ready to take on these issues and many others in county government.”

I want to see what ha[[ens in November because I don’t really think she has the backing of the Democrats and unless Bloomberg shoves some money her way, I don’t see her advancing. That she is promising “gun-control measures that would tighten background checks and restrict private gun sales” is pure press-release bullshit because Florida has State Preemption and the Miami-Dade Commission can pass ordinances till it gets blue in their collective faces and they mean only they will have to pay a fine out of their own pockets.

If she actually means that, bravo. If, as I expect, it means paying people to not commit crimes, and/or handing out sinecures to the completely unqualified, all I can say is, Not with my tax dollars!
Except with these folks “good paying” doesn’t have anything to do with “earning a good wage”, especially the earning part.

Yet another example that for Democrats, denial is not just a river. After a number of court losses to the contrary, they are still making money and influence off of the meme that a right-wing “White Hispanic” Klan member stalked and murdered an innocent Black kid who by the way was not a thug.

Wasn’t she the irresponsible parent that let Trayvon run wild in his last two years? Getting in fights, pulling burglaries, and finally suspended from school; at which point she washed her hands of the out of control juvenile delinquent and shipped his punk ass from Miami to his daddy in Orlando? Where an unloved and unsupervised Trayvon jumped George Zimmerman on a rainy night a few days later?
Yes, please elect her. She did so well for her own son and has so much to offer the citizens of Florida.
President Donald Trump has done more for creating “Good Paying Jobs” for blacks in 24 months than the last fifty years of race baiting and pandering Democrats like Sybrina Fulton. He has also performed the same job creating success for hispanics, women, and every minority including white christian males.
Maybe race baiting and race pandering is not the path to success for minorities?
