  1. Stagnation would account for that as well.
Russia is losing as much territory as it’s gaining, and they can’t fight a 600-mile frontline.
They’re burning through ammunition stocks, and they can’t strip any more men from anywhere else without national mobilization, which would let the cat out of the bag on their “special military action” not going the way they pretend at home. Winning armies don’t rush mothballed tanks from 40 years ago out of the rust-heap, or throw out all conscription age limits.

It’s turning into an endless meat-grinding stalemate for both sides; and nothing sexy to cover in that.

  2. Surely that $40,000,000,000 we just gave them has helped, right? There’s no way that money would have been abused or misused, right? We know Putin’s government is corrupt to the bone, but certainly not Zelensky’s, right?

    1. You mean the government of the Ukraine, the most corrupt country in Europe? Nah, they changed their ways.
And do you mean Zelensky, the boy toy of an Oligarch who only before the invasion had an approval rating rivaling that of Biden and who took great lengths to fire every person in charge of investigating and fighting corruption while shielding his cronies when they got under fire for corruption? Nah, he’s tots patriotic now.

  3. Pride Month. The mindless NPC drones can only hold so many deep thoughts in their heads. Also, the Ukraine was Soooo February. Don’t you know it is June now?

February is like last year man!

    1. Yep, everything is gay right now. Next month we’ll have a brief celebration of our independence accompanied by comments about how racist our nations founders were, and how racist we still are today. After that, maybe we can get back to Ukraine, after we talk about $6 gas and how its still all Putin’s fault.

  4. Ukraine was a convenient distraction from the continuous clusterfuck that is the Biden Regime’s attempts at domestic policies. Now that Pride Month is here and the trio of high-profile shootings have occurred, they have two other convenient items they can use to a) distract us from said continuous clusterfuck and b) ram even more of said attempts at domestic policies down our throats. Ukraine is no longer necessary, so it’s been memory-holed.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
