Stop me if you heard something similar before: The asshole teenager Brandon Scott Hole had a history of mental issues, was known by police and and interviewed by the FBI last year and yet nothing happened to him.

Do we need to check if there were Broward Sheriff Deputies outside the FedEx facility doing nothing during the shooting?

And by the way, what 19 year old has ZERO Social Media presence?

These are just some pre-coffee morning thoughts. Don’t mind me much.

Still early for detail, but if the name of the shooter is released before noon, you know he is White.

If not, the story will die by Monday.  Sunday if the firearm used is a pistol.

If you haven’t been paying attention, Texas is considering going Constitutional Carry.

Most gun rights enthusiasts would think that’s great, and it is.  Not so much the Texas Licence to Carry (LTC) instructors.

It’s good business in Texas to be an LTC instructor.  Guns are flying off the shelves and record numbers of people are applying for licences.

A quick internet search shows that LTC instructors are booked for weeks and months out.

It’s a tedious process to become a certified LTC instructor.

So clearly, Texas going Constitutional Carry is going to cut into their business some.  That is unacceptable to them.  Their paychecks are more important than your rights.

With that greed in mind, a group of LTC instructors sent a letter to the Texas legislature.

All of these instructors can get fucked.  All.  Of.  Them.

Our rights don’t end where their cheddar begins.

I fully support training.  I’ve said that many times.  I do not like mandatory training because it smacks of the old system of literacy tests to deny people the right to vote.  In Illinois, the legislature deliberately made the training 16 hours to discourage people from getting carry permits, and the cost of two full days of training was expensive, about $600.

LTC instructors could rebrand themselves, they could focus on newbies or women or modify their businesses to do more shooting instruction.  But that takes work and the current system guarantees them a steady stream of customers for classroom time.  So they decided to support the current system to keep the cash rolling in.

Every single instructor who signed that letter should become persona non grata in every gun store and gun range in Texas, for putting the content of their wallets over the rights of the people of Texas.

Fuck ’em.

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Taco Bell is opening its first digital-only restaurant in the U.S. on Wednesday in NYC’s Times Square.

To purchase a Chalupa or an iconic Mountain Dew Baja Blast, customers will be able to use one of the 10 automated kiosks inside the new Midtown Manhattan location.

Taco Bell noted that customers will be able to watch their food being prepared, but once it is ready, the order will be placed in a cubby which lights up to show the food is ready for pick-up.

So I reckon they will run the place with a manager and a couple or three kids rather than the usual force.  Now they can afford a full $15 an hour  and benefits for the remaining workers.

Because I was bored I did the math.

Looking up some numbers for the velocity, mass, and pressure of a fart, and making some assumptions about the diameter of a human anus during farting, then running those numbers through the thrust equation…

I calculated that a hearty fart would produce roughly 2 millinewtons of thrust.  Which is about the same thrust impulse as an electric ion thruster on a Cubesat.

So… technically… if an astronaut were to eat a filling meal of beer, beans, and sauerkraut, expose his ass to the vacuum of space, and let one rip, he could make course corrections in orbit, with thruster exhaust only slightly less toxic than traditional hydrazine based propulsion.

Senator Dianne Feinstein posted a press release for her support of a bill to ban suppressors.

She wants them removed from the NFA and totally banned for civilian sales.

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) joined Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) and Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-N.J.) along with a group of their colleagues to reintroduce the Help Empower Americans to Respond (HEAR) Act, federal gun safety legislation to ban the importation, sale, manufacturing, transfer and possession of gun silencers or suppressors.

I’m not going to go into the “but suppressors are not that quiet” bullshit because it’s a red herring.

It’s meaningless.

Biden issued an executive order to reclassify arm braces as stocks and guns with braces as SBRs.

Feinstein and her fellow gun-haters want to take you cans.

These are the kinds of firearm accessories that are purchased by a particular subset of the gun community.

Firearm enthusiasts.  Gun nuts.  Second Amendment true believers.

Not just the guy who has a gun and goes shooting every once in a while.

I highly suspect the Venn diagram of guys running braced ARs and cans and guys who love liberty and drive trucks with American flag stickers on them approaches a perfect circle.

They know how the firearm enthusiast community is and they want to punish the shit out of us.  Make us extra double super secret felons, take all the best toys away from us, disarm us the most, because of who we are.

This bill wouldn’t change a thing about violent crime on the street.  They know it.  What it will do is turn lots of gun rights enthusiasts into felons overnight.  That’s the point.

The Left is going gangbusters on creating every possible new law and regulation to crush the shit out of the people that voted and rallied against them for the last four years.

They are out to get us.
