Michael Bloomberg manages to tick off the Hippies at Berkeley.

While some arrogant individuals in Berkeley proclaim a war on random beverages with sugar in them, I bet they would love a pantry stocked with organic juice and green tea if a huge earthquake struck our town. Michael Bloomberg is one of the funders of Measure D as some sort of vendetta because his soda initiatives failed in NYC.

Jesus Mike! Don’t mess with their organic Dr. Pepper!

Home Invasion with a bit of everything in it.

Around 1:45 a.m. officers were dispatched to 545 West 23rd St., off Boulevard Street, after receiving several calls about gunshots heard in the area.

“When we arrived, we met with the homeowner. He stated that several individuals tried to break into his house and he shot at them,” said Sgt. Craig Waldrup.

A short time later, a car arrived at UF Health Jacksonville with one person injured from gunshot wounds and suffering life-threatening injuries, Waldrup said.

OK, so far, so good. Bad victim selection process that resulted in injuries to the criminal.

JSO said a total of four people were in the car and suspected of being involved in the attempted robbery. Only one of the suspects was shot.

Multiple aggressors, something to keep in mind. Not everything is High Noon one-one-one confrontations, in fact they are the minority.

Police said the homeowner shot at the suspects with a rifle, hitting one of the suspects several times.

Can you imagine if it turns out to be……

“You have a right to defend your own home your property and your family,” said News4Jax crime and safety analyst Gil Smith. “Now the best thing to do is if you have a weapon, make sure it is registered to you.”

Mr. Smith is a former Jacksonville Sheriff Office deputy…which explains the dumb assertion.

From other news sources, we find out that at least one of the attackers knew the homeowner. That brings us to the sad fact that you must be aware that the bad guy, may turn out to be somebody you may have interacted in a regular basis and you might consider low/no risk just to be deadly wrong.

And for the obligatory “My boy ain’t bad and it is your fault” moment:

Action News spoke to the mother and aunt of Derrick Brown, the 18-year-old shot during the alleged home invasion. They claim the homeowner is lying.

“If you’re going to shoot someone five to six times, you’re not trying to get them out of your house. You’re trying to kill them,” said aunt Juaria Moultrie. “You’re not trying to warn them at all, that’s not a warning.”

Poor Derrick Brown was never told that breaking into somebody’s house was a no-no which may bring severe consequences. And no Mrs. Brown, bad guys do not get time-outs or warnings during the commission of a forcibly felony.

CSGV and the PTSD T-Shirt controversy: We now know who the psychos are.

Last Saturday I posted about the Cult Coalition to Stop Gun Rights Violence coming down on a satirical T-Shirt from Ranger up about how some elitists treat veterans with PTSD and the immediate backslash from the Veterans and Active Service personnel. As they usually do, CSGV went into delete mode getting rid of those who criticize them and they did a great job depopulating the comments.

Unfortunately, they left the comments of their supporters and in a lot of cases, in a format that is easy to follow…and screen capture. Some of them really need medical intervention:

CGV T Shirt 2

And then we have a gentleman under the name of Eddie Delisio who also goes under Eddie Haley and probably resides somewhere in Colorado. Here is what he thinks about Vets:

CGV T Shirt 1

And yes, the Vets and supporters had post with bad language too, but they got deleted for the most part while CSGV somehow approves of this gentleman’s thoughts.

That should tell you all you need about CGSV.

It’s Branson, however, who has always been the most troubling of the cosmic cowboys—selling not just himself on his fever dreams but his trusting customers

There was another cowboy back in the day who dare to dare everybody become cowboys.

When Kennedy made this speech, we didn’t even have a vehicle capable to reach halfway the moon, hell I think the Atlas rocket could barely break Earth orbit.

And we had loses that did not even happened on the air:

Perhaps Mr. Kluger is under the impression that our Space Program was built by an efficient government in governmental offices and produced a flawless product the first time around. He probably ignores that we sent men to outer space wearing suits built by a brassiere manufacturer sitting on rockets built by a private company with enough explosives inside to erase half Manhattan contained in vessels with the thickness of a metal trash can and landed on the  moon on another privately built ship that had more in common with an Airstream Sport mounted on a scaffold than what science fiction ever envisioned to be a proper landing craft.

Same as now with Mr. Kluger, the Timid & Cowardly back then had their way and killed the most advanced and fruitful scientific & technological  project of the XX Century. Their disgust was so that they ignored what hundred of thousands of people worked on and declared that the biggest contribution that the Moon program ever gave was Tang. Forget the new materials, the new engineering and even the new computing & software that launched this country ahead of everybody else in the history of Humanity.
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks.

Why would anyone want that evil piece of history? And eve if they just want to destroy it, the memory of those who passed or what happened to them by it cannot be erased.
