DAYTONA BEACH — A man with a semi-automatic rifle slung around his neck entered a fast food restaurant then walked down the beachside’s main drag, causing panic to those who called police.

Christopher Ray, 27, told police he was within his rights to openly carry the weapon because he had been fishing, according to an arrest report. He told officers he was thirsty and that’s why — with the rifle still around his neck — he entered the Burger King at 225 N. Atlantic Ave. and bought himself a soda, the report states.

There we go. We could not let Texas have all the fun. There is more:

Because Ray had no fishing gear on him and he entered the restaurant with the weapon in full view of several patrons, the officer detained him so he could investigate further. If Ray had a concealed weapons license and the rifle was concealed, his actions would have been legal. But Ray is not licensed to carry a concealed weapon, police said, and carrying the rifle openly is illegal.

To him and others like him : DO NOT “HELP” ANYMORE!
Thanks.

UPDATE: Again, Than you for nothing.

CSGV: Is the NRA a Hate Group? Apparently yes.

CSGV NRA Hate Group

A hate group is an organized group or movement that advocates and practices hatred, hostility, or violence towards members of a race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or any other designated sector of society.

Lots of monosyllabic responses, but you know the hardcore members could not hold themselves to show their true feelings which for some strange reason seem to fit the definition of Hate Group I posted above.

I wonder how soon we will be associated directly with NAMbLA. You know it is coming.

PALESTINE, Texas — Body camera footage capturing the split-second decision officers were forced to make when a suspect pulled what appeared to be a handgun has been released.

According to the Palestine Herald, Sgt. Gabriel Green and Officer Kaylynn Griffin were called to the scene May 31 after employees at a local store witnessed 47-year-old James D. Bushey attempting to steal a case of beer.

Bushey then entered a nearby restaurant and hid in a stall. While the officers were escorting him out of the building, he pulled out the replica pellet gun.
Green fired multiple shots at Bushey before Griffin, who had been armed with a TASER, pulled her weapon and also opened fire on the suspect.

Bushey died at the scene. Police later discovered the weapon was a replica made to resemble a Colt 1911 .45 caliber handgun, according to the report.

Both officers have been cleared in the incident and have returned to full duty

And check this link to see the video from the male office’s camera.

If anything, amazing work from the officers reacting at the threat. Notice that Sgt. Green did not go to gun immediately but turned and pushed Mr. Bushey away, then deployed his sidearm and shot him. I think I count 11 shots from Sgt. Green alone, not sure. Officer Griffin appeared to shot three times herself.
