Dear nice and decent Christians,

I want to make it clear, this fucking asshole does not represent the opinion of the majority – if the entire rest – of the Jewish community in the United States.

This bitch is the worst kind of Progressive.  She needs to feel like a victim during the Holidays and is using her “Judaism” to give her a grievance and an excuse to make other people feel like shit.

This attitude is both disgusting and the antithesis of Jewish teachings.

It is Rabbinic teaching: Dina d’malkhuta dina  which means “the law of the land is the law.”

As Jews, we are supposed to follow the laws and customs of the nations in which we live – except when they directly contradict Jewish laws.

As a Jew living in a majority Christian country, if we are wished a “Merry Christmas,” it is both the decent thing and the Jewish obligation to wish the other person a “Merry Christmas” back.

This woman is a shame on the Jewish community and to her parents and really needs to crawl under a rock and shut the fuck up for… ever.

I’m sorry.

Ignore this piece of misery spreading human garbage.

Sincerely,

Your Jewish Friend

Another step in the direction of mob justice, Pt. 2

I am going to keep hammering this point home:

Societies function best when the government priorities the safety and wellbeing of its law-abiding, productive, tax-paying core.

When governments fail to do so, chaos ensues.

We see this pattern bifurcate.

On the low end, this is frontier justice.  When the law fails to protect the people, the people will take matters into their own hands.

On the high end, this is a revolution, like in France or Russia, where the people starved as the monarchy got fat.

Eventually, the law-abiding, productive, tax-paying core gets tired of being taken advantage of for their law-abiding, productive, work habits and they fight back.

The purpose of democracy is to make that fight bloodless.  It gives these people an outlet and the ability to make change before things turn bloody.

What we are seeing in places like San Francisco is a total failure of this system.

A small number of professional activists hold all economic growth, especially for small businesses and the middle class, hostage.  They know the systems of power and are able to devote themselves fulltime to crushing working people who have actual business to run.

This is an absolute disaster if your interest is how to run a city.

The law-abiding, productive, tax-paying core of the economy cannot be stamped out of existence by a handful of activists bankrolled by wealthy virtue-signaling leftists and grievance mongers.

In addition, the powers in San Francisco’s city government are entrenched.  Largely because of the efforts of these same sorts of people.

While some law-abiding, productive, tax-paying people can move out of San Francisco, there are many there for who that is the city of their birth.  That is where their families are.  The intangibles make it difficult if not impossible to leave.

So if the powers that be are disinclined to change what happens next?

I can imagine one of these small business zoning fights ending when a professional activist type’s body is found in an alley.

San Francisco seems to be approaching Louis XVI level of instability, where an entrenched city government and an activist class get rich while destroying the lives of everyone else, and I don’t know how much longer that can last.

AOC, the Noble Savage, and Australia’s wildfires

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez really loves the trope of the noble savage.

She has, on multiple occasions, talked or Tweeted about “indigenous wisdom.”

On Saturday, she spoke at a Bernie rally where she blamed climate change for Australia’s wildfires and promised that Bernie will fix it.

“But there are several ways in which Senator Sanders distinguishes himself. One way is that he has one of the most ambitious climate plans in the country, period.  His Green New Deal is a solution that actually attempts to be on the scale of the crisis. If you want to know what we risk if we don’t act adequately on climate, look at what is happening in Australia right now. The fires are so big they can’t even fight them anymore. We’re seeing three days of the hottest days on record happening in a row. People are trapped. Species are going endangered in a very small period of time. We belong to the Earth, not the other way around.”

The climate change that is causing wildfires in Australia today has little to do with modern, developed nations driving cars, and more to do with “indigenous wisdom” 65,000 years ago.

Prior to the arrival of the Aborigines, Australia was mostly temperate or tropical rainforest.  Some of that rainforest can still be seen in Wet Tropics of Queensland.

When the Aborigines arrived, they began a method of agriculture known as fire-stick farming.  This can best be described as “burning everything to ash as far as the eye can see.”

The result was a complete denudation of trees in the middle of the content.  Rainforests are self-sustaining.  Burn down all the trees and the climate changes, preventing new forest growth.

The Outback is not a natural desert, it was created by indigenous Australians.  This process also killed off most of Australia’s native megafauna.

All one has to do is look next door to Australia to New Zealand, where fire-stick farming was not practiced to see an island nation that is mostly tropical and temperate forest.

I doubt this is the type of “indigenous wisdom” that she intends to promote, but that is the reality of speaking from ignorance and ideology instead of facts.
