This is politician-speak for: That stuff is Legal and so far appears constitutional. We are not wasting any time with it. 

How much time and money was spent on this new chapter of the DeSantis Derangement Syndrome?

They are truly scared of him.

And nobody in our lifestyle would find that exchange strange in any way, shape or form.

I am coming home from the gym, and I noticed that a car is behind me.  Nothing common or weird at the same time at that hour. I usually am returning home earlier than 5 am because traffic becomes stupid after that hour.

I signal and turn in my driveway keeping an eye on the rear-view mirror of the car which slows down, stops and the reverses into my driveway!

Alarms go off: YOU’VE BEEN IN SIMILAR SITUATION! CARJACK ALERT!

My reaction was “Fuck being inside the car with very limited movement. Get out draw and seek cover” which is what I was doing in that moment reflected in the screen capture. My hand was already wrapped around the gun about to be pulled out. An arm comes out of the other vehicle and…waves?

“Good morning! Have a great day!” and the car drives away.

It was the newspaper lady doing her delivery. I guess I am the last client on that road and she was just turning around to go back, thus the weird maneuver.

And she is the sweetest person you could ever meet, but scared the living shit out of me.

All in all, I am happy that nothing happened and happy that my healthy paranoia (AKA overabundance of caution) is still intact.

I always have maintained that the Left does not know what is to be the victim of violence. I understand how much of a shocker it had to be for one of their own to attack another one in the midst of one of their top religious ceremonies commemorating their Belief Dogmas. The choruses of “Violence Solves Nothing” are back in fashion again, if only to align themselves with their counterparts.

It won’t be long when violence becomes accepted again when used against their political opposites (you and me) and this Smith/Rock spat is forgotten or ignored.

The problem for them lies in the principle that when we are threatened with violence, we take it seriously. And that we have seen and understood what happens when violence is applied.  And we have no problems applying violence in defense of our lives and the lives of our loved ones.

Unfortunately, they will not (again) understand this. Stupid and avoidable things will happen.

And quite often the least faithful are the most religious.

Okay, this is not going to be popular, BUT – I genuinely don’t understand how people can maintain religious faith through higher education, emerging with a PhD and intact religious belief. How isn’t the belief utterly shattered?

There are few religious devotees more outspoken than the sanctimonious atheist.

There is no article of faith they love more than to insult and berate the faithful as being stupid dupes with deficiency in critical thinking and pudding for brains.

How smug in their self assurance they are that they earned a piece of paper that says they know just a tiny bit more than the layman on a very tiny topic of technical minutiae and that means thru understand the totality of the nature of reality and the human condition.

I myself have a PhD in engineering.

I, however, do not have such hubris as they do.

I know that what I know about materials science does not answer the metaphysical questions of the universe or soothes the soul.

When my father passed I did not turn to the AISI heat treater’s guide for answers.

Knowing a little bit more than the average person about how a blast furnace works does not give me the same sense of connection and continuity of being as being part of an unbroken tradition that goes back more than 6,000 years to Abraham and the patriarchs.

The saddest and most revealing thing about this Tweet and the replies is just how much it shows that these people have no capacity for introspection as they engage in a rhetorical atheistic Jihad against those who believe in God.
