Mother of 10-year-old Uvalde shooting victim sues school district, police and gun manufacturer

The mother of a 10-year-old killed in the Uvalde school shooting has filed a federal lawsuit against the gun-maker and seller, the city of Uvalde, its school district and several law enforcement officers.

Sandra Torres’ daughter Eliahna was one of 19 students and 2 teachers killed by an 18-year-old gunman at Robb Elementary in May.

“I miss her every moment of every day,” Torres said in a joint press release with her lawyers from Everytown for Gun Safety’s legal team and Texas-based LM Law Group. “I’ve brought this lawsuit to seek accountability. No parent should ever go through what I have.”

The new lawsuit alleges that Daniel Defense — the manufacturer of the shooter’s weapon — violated the Federal Trade Commission Act, arguing that the Georgia-based company’s marketing on social media and video games “prime young buyers to purchase AR-15-style rifles as soon as they are legally able.” Earlier this year, gun-maker Remington settled a lawsuit for $73 million with the Sandy Hook shooting victims’ families who had also targeted the company’s marketing.

I said the holders of Remington who settled the Sandy Hook lawsuit were going to fuck us over.

They did.

Now every grieving parent will be targeted by the blood dancers to file a lawsuit that is engineered to be a runaround the PLCAA.

Just look at the opening of the text of the lawsuit:

This is the Daniel Defense ad they wanted for the Super Bowl.

Their entire marketing campaign is “be a responsible loving parent abd buy our gun to defend your family.”

But a few crying moms and some sympathetic jurors and they will lose.

Unless a Judge in Texas recognizes the purpose of this lawsuit as a way of voiding the PLCAA and dismisses the case.

The Sandy Hook parents and the anti-gun industry has figured out a new avenue for lawfare and they are going to use it.

It is going to suck for the industry unless it’s stopped.

Pedophiles are getting less than a year prison time after a range of horrific acts, including raping kids under 14, a DailyMail.com investigation reveals.

Analysis of a California database of sex offenders shows thousands of child molesters are being let out after just a few months, despite sentencing guidelines.

More than 7,000 sex offenders were convicted of ‘lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age’ but were let out of prison the same year they were incarcerated, data from the California Megan’s Law database says.

Others who committed some of the worst child sex crimes on the statute books served similarly short sentences, including 365 pedophiles convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child who spent less than 12 months in prison, 39 cases of sodomy with a child under 16, and three cases of kidnapping a child under 14 ‘with intent to commit lewd or lascivious acts’, according to the data.

One offender in the database is Reseda, resident Carlos Alexander Nahue, 48, who was convicted of ‘continuous sexual abuse of a child’ in 2015.

His Los Angeles court records say he was charged in October 2014 and pled no contest to the crime in January 2015 – but was sentenced to just two days in an LA county jail and five years of probation.

DailyMail.com compiled the data of the 54,986 sex offenders who were listed on the website in July 2019 and analyzed the results.

It showed 41,794 (76%) committed offenses involving children.

DailyMail.com compared the published dates of these pedophiles’ convictions versus the year they were released from prison according to the Megan’s Law database.

The results showed that the average pedophile served two years and 10 months in prison.

And 7,152 pedophiles who committed this crime served less than a year.

Some 114 men who committed the even worse version of this offense, where the act against the under-14 child was ‘by force or fear’, ended up serving less than a year in prison, according to the data.

Others serving less than 12 months included 13 counts of aggravated sexual assault of an under-14 with intent to rape, three counts of kidnapping a child under 14 with intent to commit lewd or lascivious acts, five counts of assault with intent to rape an under-18, and two counts of pimping minors.

California is all but decriminalizing child rape.

These are vicious predators who have received the most minor punishments for their crimes.

California doesn’t care about children, California serves children up to groomers abd pedophiles on a platter.

The evidence is overwhelming that the Leftist elite, especially of California, are pro-pedophile and anti-child.

Well… his story got weirder.

Non-binary Biden nuclear official charged with stealing woman’s $2.3K luggage at airport

A Biden administration employee – and one of the federal government’s first gender non-binary officials – has been accused of stealing a travelor’s luggage from the Minneapolis airport in September.

Sam Brinton, the deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition at the DOE’s Office of Nuclear Energy, was charged with felony theft after allegedly snatching a Vera Bradley suitcase reportedly worth $2,325 from baggage claim at the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport on Sept. 16, according to court documents.

Brinton, who uses they/them pronouns, was captured on surveillance video grabbing the luggage and removing its ID tag identifying the owner, the filings state.

Brinton initially denied stealing the suitcase to police officers, but later claimed they took it by mistake and still had it in their possession.

“If I had taken the wrong bag, I am happy to return it, but I don’t have any clothes for another individual,” Brinton first told the officer. “That was my clothes when I opened the bag.”

However, Brinton called the officer back two hours after their first conversation and confessed to not being “completely honest.”

The official was charged with felony theft of a moveable property without consent, as first reported by the local Minnesota outlet, Alpha News.

Brinton — who became one of the government’s first non-binary officials when taking the job — was placed on leave about on month ago following the accusations.

He may be convicted but I doubt it.

If anything, he pleads down to a slap on the wrist because a non-binary, cross dressing pervert is too high on the victim hierarchy to get into any real trouble.

The Federal Government has already ignored more disqualifying points than imaginable, a simple thing like theft is no big deal.

It’s sad to say it but it’s true.

Homebuyers canceled a record 60,000 purchase contracts last month because they’re waiting for mortgage rates and home prices to fall

Nearly 60,000 homebuyers walked away from deals in October as the average mortgage rate reached 7%, according to a report from Redfin, a Seattle-based real estate firm.

The dip in pending home sales was the largest drop since Redfin began tracking the data back in 2013, the report said. While pending home sales fell across the country, Allentown Pennsylvania led the nation with a 54.9% year-over-year decline. Greensboro, North Carolina had the second highest pending home sale cancellation rate with buyers walking away from half of homes that were under contract.

Rising home prices have been a chief scourge for homebuyers and homebuilders alike throughout the pandemic. Since March 2020, the median home price in the US has increased by more than 41%, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

These advancing home prices have quelled homebuying demand, especially among first-time homebuyers. The National Association of Realtors estimates that home sales will decline from 5.2 million in 2022 to 4.8 million in 2023 because of high mortgage rates and inflation, which is putting additional pressure on homebuilders to offload newly built properties from their balance sheets.

Amazon confirmed on Wednesday that layoffs had begun at the company, two days after multiple outlets reported the e-commerce giant planned to cut around 10,000 employees this week.

The initial cuts at Amazon will impact roles on the devices and services team, per a memo shared publicly by Dave Limp, senior vice president of devices & services at Amazon

Amazon and other tech firms significantly ramped up hiring over the past couple of years as the pandemic shifted consumers’ habits towards e-commerce. Now, many of these seemingly untouchable tech companies are experiencing whiplash and laying off thousands of workers as people return to pre-pandemic habits and macroeconomic conditions deteriorate.

Facebook-parent Meta recently announced 11,000 job cuts, the largest in the company’s history.

The housing market is crashing and the country’s second largest retailer is laying off 10,000 people just before Christmas.

I can’t think of stronger signs that the economy is fucked far beyond imagination.

Yes, the Biden Administration has been lying to us.  We feel it every time we buy groceries or fill up our cars.

The Left went nuts when the Republicans floated the idea of denying illegal immigration sanctuary cities federal funding.

The Left is now floating that same idea except against places that prioritize the Second Amendment over restrictive gin laws.

It’s crystal clear they value illegal immigrants over Constitutional protection.

But moreover, the idea of a Second Amendment sanctuary city is a perversion.  The Bill of Right applies to every citizen everywhere in our country.  We don’t need a Second Amendment sanctuary, the cities and states that violate the Second Amendment need to be punished.

Felonies surge 40% on NYC subways compared to 2021 — but MTA touts more cops to stem crime wave

Felony crimes — including murder, rape and robbery — have surged on the subway system by 40% so far this year compared to 2021, according to newly released NYPD stats.

At least 1,917 felony crimes were reported from January through October — up from the 1,367 tallied during the same period last year, the figures prepared for Tuesday’s MTA board committee meetings showed.

Last month alone saw 210 total felonies, up from 198 in September, the NYPD said.

The October tally included three murders, two burglaries, 51 robberies, 46 felony assaults and 108 grand larcenies — all increases from that month in 2021, according to police.

Killings in the subway system since 2020 have also skyrocketed to the highest annual levels in 25 years as the city grapples with an overall spike in random violence, NYPD stats show.

Law abiding citizens are trapped underground in a cave with vicious predators and increased violence happens.

This next partisan interesting.

Reached for comment, a spokesman for the MTA said an influx of police officers announced last month by Gov. Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams has led to less crime.

“The NYPD is now putting more officers on subway cars and on platforms, and so far this month it has resulted in a drop in crime,” said the spokesman, Aaron Donovan.

Riders and transit workers who spoke to The Post on Sunday were split on whether the recent influx of cops had made an impact.

“They just wait until police are not around,” said grocery store worker Lee Rivera, 25.

Felonies are up 40% but it would be worse if it weren’t for the increase in cops.  That’s the logical conclusion here.  That tells you how really bad it is.

Even if more cops is reducing crime, the criminals know that the cops can’t be everywhere and wait until there are none around to strike.

New York increased the number of cops and crime still went up.

That is the loudest ringing endorsement for concealed carry and self defense I’ve ever heard.

This is why it’s so important for Bruen to br enforced in New York.

The people need to be able to defend themselves because the city is doing a shit job of maintaining safety underground.
