The House passed the AWB

So the AWB passed the House.

Now it goes to the Senate.  I’m not sure what will happen there.

Does Manchin vote for it knowing how West Virginia is on guns?

I suspect Romney and Collins voting yes.

I’m 51/49 it passing the Senate.

Biden would absolutely sign it.

That leaves two options.

The Supreme Court will have to take on subject of assault weapons.

The good news is that the last SCOTUS decision on guns went out way.

The “in common use” line in Heller goes our way since there have been tens of millions of these guns sold since then.

Alternatively, we demand that every Republican running swear on any possible political future that they vote to repeal this AWB as soon as they can.

If it does pass, it will be a rough couple of years.

What we need to do us make gun bans as toxic today as it was after the Clinton ban.

Pediatric monkeypox diagnoses to be a mandatory report condition

A friend send me this article:

Tucker Carlson pushes to rename monkeypox ‘SCHLONG COVID’ after woke New York City official asked WHO to change ‘racist’ title – as San Francisco declares public health emergency over virus

That’s funny, but buried deep in the article was this horrifying statement:

The jokes came as San Francisco, a city with a high population of gay people, declared a state of emergency due to the outbreak of the disease.

Mayor London Breed’s said her announcement would allow officials to cut through red tape and fight a public health crisis reminiscent of the AIDS epidemic that devastated the city in the 1980s.

The declaration, which takes effect Monday, was welcomed by gay advocates who have grown increasingly frustrated by what they called San Francisco’s lackluster response to a virus that so far has affected primarily men who have sex with men, although anyone can get infected.

Experts fear the disease has already spilled over into more vulnerable groups, such as children under eight years old that health officials say are at high risk of severe disease.

Two children — in California and ‘transiting through’ D.C. — have tested positive for monkeypox to date, the CDC says.

Three important facts:

Over 95% of monkeypox cases are in gay men with multiple sexual partners.

41% of monkeypox cases are in men with HIV.

Sexual transmission is the top vector for infection for monkeypox.

The first two facts should give you an idea of the type of behavior that spreads monkeypox.  Lots of unprotected sex with lots of people in a short period of time.

And somehow, that spilled over into children under 8 years old?

That is rape. That is what that is.  Monkeypox in children is evidence of rape.

A monkeypox diagnosis in a child should immediately be reported to authorities for investigation.

The CDC won’t do that because the federal government protects groomers and pedophiles who are located to the Democrat party.

Maybe, hopefully, Florida will do this.

The best vaccine against monkeypox in children is a woodchipper.

AWB and Repeal of PLCAA on Floor of House NOW (2022-07-29 0930) Final tallies

Call your representative NOW!

The house is voting to allow the rule change to bring up the AWB and Repeal of PLCAA.

The house has voted to waive a rule that will allow the AWB to be voted on.
Strictly party lines. 10 did not vote, 6 Republicans and 4 Democrats. If all 6 Republicans voted no it still would pass.

I’m still learning this stuff. The previous vote was to approve a vote to happen on the rule. Confusing.

1330: House is in Recess. Because of the passage of H.Res. 1300 the house is able to debate and vote on different bills that normally would have to wait. They are currently debating H.R. 5118 which has nothing to do with Firearms.

My guess is that they will delay until later to take up 2814 and 1808

They are no debating H.Res 1302 which will allow them to debate H.R 1808.

They have voted to bring H.R. 1808 to the floor for debate.

H.R. 1808 is on the floor being debated.

At 1730 the house is done with debate on H.R. 1808. The gist of the Democrats is “for the children”. One Democrat go up and stated that since the AWB of 1994 survived constitutional challenges, this bill is constitutional.

The are currently voting to send the bill back to committee. Given that every vote so far has been pretty much party lines it won’t go back to committee. It will be voted on in the house.

If it is voted on in the house, it will pass.

Time to call your Senators.

It passed the house.
Democratic: 215 Yes, 5 No
Republican: 2 Yes, 208 No

Fitzpatrick (R-PA) voted Yes.
Jacobs (R-NY) voted Yes
Cuellar (D-TX), Golden(D-MA), Gonzalez, Vicent(D-TX), Kind(D-WI) and Schrader(D-OR) all voted No.

The worse parts were seeing my Representative voting for this bill and Nancy absolutely bubbling with joy when she announced that it has passed.

Aleatory Ruminations for 7/29/2022

Abortion is not healthcare in the urgent sense this whale is trying to say. For most cases is just selective surgery because the woman simply did not have the self-discipline to use contraception nor any kind of care. Abortion is akin to a tummy tuck or a gastric bypass, both very much needed by the woman above because, again, the lack of self-control and not being able to say no to a KFC 16 piece meal with a free beverage bucket while watching The Real Housewives of Trailer Park by her lonesome.

Some days are like that, but most days is simple a Zen exercise and calmy repeating the mantra “IDGAF” over and over as needed.

I had made a comment on Facebook that I could not find my Glock mag loader for an incoming shoot and I was gladly surprised when buddy Michael F. showed up with a 3D printed copy.

To tell you how ignorant I am on the subject, I was amazed at how sturdy the loader actually is. I guess I was expecting some flimsy contraption being raised in the world of steel and then accepting aluminum as acceptable solids and plastic items expected to be cheap and easy to break. But that thing is tough! I feel like I owe him at least some return on the material he used, if anybody can give me quick tutorial in the comments, I would appreciate it.

Why do news stations even bother to report crime anymore? The lack of useful details just because they don’t want to be perceived as (insert grievance here) is mind-blowing.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police are working to identify the man who fired multiple shots at three other men outside a Madison market.

It happened in the 200 block of East Webster Street just after 10 p.m. on Jan. 5.

Video from the scene shows a blue Nissan Rogue pull into the parking lot. The driver then got out of the vehicle, fired shots at three men outside the business and drove away.

Police say it appeared the vehicle was waiting in a nearby parking lot prior to the shooting.

None of the victims, who were all employees at the market, were hit by the gunfire.

The Nissan Rogue had one broken headlight and an Ohio license plate.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (615) 742-7463.

Ohio plates in Miami are rare, but in Tennessee? Not so much.  I went Google maps and found what could have been the location:

So, it is a Mexican supermarket. The powers that woke apparently think it is bad to give any information that can make them look as racist. I guess there is no crime perpetrated by Mexicans and the frightful stories you hear are just figments of KKK imagination.

No, I haven’t shot the Dicken Drill yet. Let me see if I have a chance this weekend and I will let you know my failure at a later date.
