Whenever I see a headline like the first one, I always wonder if the people asked had any idea what the question means.
So most of the world’s impoverished want to move to rich countries and live off their social welfare systems, and the virtue signaling wealthy liberals who live in gated communities want to hand over the nation’s social welfare in exchange for votes and praise from the relocated impoverished?
I’m shocked, shocked, well… not that shocked.
And that “40% of the world’s guns” is a bit misleading as it’s higher.
A couple of years ago, Kevin O’Brien of WeaponsMan fame crunched numbers and came to the conclusion that the high 300 million mark of guns in private hands in the U.S. was off. His calculations came up with an easy 600 million guns here.
SO, we don’t have 40% but 60% -more or less- here and it’s figured that the U.S. citizenry also possesses enough ammo to shoot each one for quite a while.
