As usual Jerry gets it, and you’re right those two minutes are GOLD…
He’s got a great point about practice. I see a lot of guys at the range practicing with CCW guns and never drawing them. Also, the “whizbang” ammo he spoke of may also have a different POI than cheap ball. Cor Bon shoots 6″ lower than ball from my Taurus .380 at 10 yards.
Interesting. I’ve never had 2 pistol ammo types shoot to different points of aim any any of my pistols. In rifles, sure, because you’re shooting 1 or 2 inch groups at 100 yards+. But never seen it with pistols (especially for defensive type usage/training/target shooting), just not enough precision and distance to even notice the differences between ammo in my experience.
I’m still waiting (20+ years) for a confirmed handgun take-away from an open carrier.
