1. The first rats to abandon a sinking ship are: the smartest and the best swimmers.

   The narrative has always been that government employees are stupid and unmotivated. Sure, there’s plenty of that. However, there is a core of smart, competent and very motivated folks who believe they are serving a calling. THEY have options.

   This is yet one more effort to polarize Americans. The bonus here is if Joe and Co can reduce the number of competent and motivated feds, THEN what’s left is a per capita dumber workforce who is more likely to swing left and do WHATEVER they’re told.

   Critical thought and morals and personal courage tends not to exist among sheep. Sheep are born looking for a place to die. The vax gig is (almost) all about separating the sheep from everybody else.

   This from a fella who has enjoyed his own couf (yep, it sucked) and taken the vax (after much research, soul searching and deliberation.)

2. The brain drain will be immense. A lot of old hands will have had enough, say “Fuck it,” and take their pension to a nice little bungalow on the gulf coat. The young hard chargers will see that their career options are nada if they don’t do/say the right things and don’t have the right pronouns in their LinkedIn bio, say “Fuck it,” and leave for other industries or solo contracting gigs. All that will be left are people who are unemployable anywhere else outside of the .gov. From there, expect every major program to double in both time and cost to get to completion from the already bloated budgets and crazy timeframes they’re at now (at minimum).

   I’ve already seen it with some acquaintances in the MIC contracting realm. After the last year of CRT/wokeism/pandering/gaslighting and the last several days of all but being classified as an enemy of the state if you don’t want your gene therapy juice, a lot of people are dusting off resumes and firing up LinkedIn to get out before it’s too late.

   I’ve seen this all in a book before. The common refrain was “Who is John Galt?”
