My long time shooting buddy Marco Torres is having a Bleeding Control class next Saturday the 31st of March at the Iglesia Espíritu Santo y Fuego / ESYF. 14241 SW 120th St, Miami, FL 33186.

And I will say it again: It is free but you need to register at T-Med Services because I reckon space is limited. Marco also told me to tell you that…

Everyone’s invited, no experience necessary, all equipment provided.

From their website.

T-MED Services, INC. is a mobile training team consisting of a small core group of Instructors with many years of both Military, as well as Civilian Trauma/Emergency Medical skills.  All medical instructors are TCCC/TECC ( Tactical Combat Casualty Care ) certified, and well-versed in the Use of Tourniquets, Combat Gauze, Pressure Dressings and Chest Seals.

All of our Instructors stay current in all of the newest technology and Tactical Medicine skills to insure that you will get the best training possible.  Our purpose  and goal is to help civilians learn Basic Trauma Care in a low stress environment that is fun and easy to learn in. We incorporate “Hands On ” activities to familiarize you with the tools you will need to learn to use in order to help possibly save a life.

I strongly recommend you take the class. These are people who have been in the “caca” and are offering their expertise for free so you can save lives.

It’s worth the couple hours of your life. Even more importantly for those of us in Just Sue Me states, I received a certificate of completion, and now have a “professional” resource to call on if i’m ever brought before a court for taking action that is in line with what I was taught, regardless of the outcome.
