Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. If you read news stories or histories about any period before about 1920, you’ll see that people were incredibly slipshod about any kind of safety. It’s not hard to find stories about people being burned to death when the open flame in their oven or fireplace ignited a can of gasoline or kerosene sitting next to it, or accidentally cutting or slashing themselves while doing farm work, or being kicked by horses or cows, or having trees or beams fall on them. It makes you wonder how Granny and Gramps lived long enough to raise Mom and Pop.

  2. There are numerous stories of people traveling west in wagon trains (and even before the great westward movement), pulling their rifles out of the wagons by the front end and having the hammer catch on something and discharge directly into their bodies.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
