During the debates in Congress on adopting the proposed 14th Amendment, the lead proponent listed the Constitutional rights of black people that were generally infringed. The 2nd Amendment right to keep arms was listed prominently among the civil rights that needed to be protected.
The SCOTUS decision eviscerating the 14th Amendment (“Slaughterhouse cases”) is one of the particularly shameful decisions in its history. Not quite at the level of Dred Scott or Korematsu, but close after it.
Im surprised you can find this stuff from days gone by. The way liberals are purging history of thier wrong doings.. the kkk was started by democrats….
