Democratic state Sen. Evie Hudak, whose constituents are attempting to oust her from office in a special recall election, is set to resign her seat.

Hudak will hold a news conference Wednesday morning at the Arvada Library.

“By resigning I am protecting these important new laws for the good of Colorado and ensuring that we can continue looking forward,” Hudak wrote in her resignation letter in regard to her gun votes, which led to the recall effort.

I am guessing the “electioneers” in the Party crunched numbers and realized she was going to get her rumpus beaten. Possibly she was visited by a Democrat Operative and told to disappear before the Senate changed hands. Dems will still control it but by one vote only.

One of the many lessons to be learned here is that once Bloomberg gets what he wants, your cease to be useful and do not expect him to help you. And we have times three confirmation in Colorado of his loyalty to his “friends.”

      1. My guess they would have to start the entire petition process over again. And with Hudak, there was documented statements about where she stood on issues. The FNG will likely get the benefit of the doubt, at least till the next legislative session.

  1. Gov. Lickenbottom had better not put in an identical Democrat replacement cog in her place. His position is at best tenuous and he had better put someone more friendly to gun rights and with a brain in there.

If Edie Hudak had any self-respect she would have resigned after her callous comments to Amanda Collins and her shameful vote. However, she seems to be defiant to the end with her statement. Good riddance!
