Tear gas is not banned for police use — the treaties only apply to war use.
The left always whines about this, but all they’re doing is mouthing old Soviet propaganda — they also will claim it’s a war crime to use an M2 against infantry.
(My favorite was some mouth-breathers trying to pass off decomposition as “evidence of chemical weapons use”.)
