“With Landrieu’s departure, the Democrats will have no more senators from the Deep South, and I say good. Forget about it. Forget about the whole fetid place. Write it off. Let the GOP have it and run it and turn it into Free-Market Jesus Paradise. The Democrats don’t need it anyway.”
As a resident of this “Free-Market Jesus Paradise” I believe it’s crucial that those who suffer the misfortune of residing outside the FMJP borders learn a little something about how us paradise-dwellers exist.
And so we present to you, 10 reasons the Free Market Jesus Paradise is awesome, although it should be noted this is by no means an exhaustive list

Go read it and have a laugh. Ms Kaye does not mince words.
This was from the New Yorker in 1976 and it’s only gotten worse since then:

Well, why won’t they let them secede then? If they don’t want the South, and the South won’t have them, why the heartburn over letting Texas go it’s own way?
When has the left ever allowed a group they disagreed with to live and let live and go their own way. It’s all about control and telling as many people as possible just how to live.
That’s what is so insane about this article. Louisiana has Bobby Jindal (Indian) as governor. SC elected Nikki Haley (woman) who appointed Tim Scott (black) to the senate, who got reelected in a special election in 2014. Tx Senator Ted Cruz (latino) is the son of a Cuban immigrant. Republican politicians from the South are diverse, and Southern Republicans have no problem electing minority candidates.
What they have a problem with is a senator who goes on Air and insults them, calling them ignorant and racist, and votes AGAINST their economic interest. The good people of La know a huge part of their economy is in oil refining, and blocking Keystone XL hurts them. She lost on her own merits, or lack there of.
The amazing thing about Landireu, and Gruber, and Bloomberg, and Obama, is that when they think the mic is off or the regular people aren’t listening, how much they truly believe that the majority of Americans, the “little people”, are just a bunch of stupid, racist, ignorant, uncultured, knuckle-dragging, morons. Then they get all defensive and flabbergasted when we “the little people” reject them and their message.
“Your’e too stupid to take care of yourself so vote for me to micro-manage your worthless, pathetic lives” is not an effective campaign platform.
The statist forgot Bill Nelson and I wish we could forget him too

NOOOOOOO! Don’t draw their attention back. They just decided to write you off as a lost cause. Now they’ll go back to trying to destroy you again!
I wish Colorado would wise up and re-join the Free-Market Jesus Paradise.
Can we add wisconsin to the Free Market Jesus Paradise? Walker is doing a lot of good here, and we got just as many rednecks as the south!
While this years senate race was close unfortunately VA still has two Dem ( Demented ) senators one crazier than the other. We suffer from NOVA syndrome, because the Feds have so many employees that have moved into area and are throwing the elections ( NOrthern VA ) while the rest of the state is bright red.
Likewise in Colorado. We managed to send a Republican to the Senate while at the same time holding onto a corrupt governor and losing the state congressional seats we made up last year.
It makes less than no sense. Why would you vote against the frankly rather mild Udall and then vote in favor of an utter reprobate like John Hickenlooper?
