Cinco de Mayo
I am celebrating Cinco De Mayo in an equally authentic restaurant:
Oh yes… it was done on purpose.
Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.
If you batter on them enough, the mask tends to fall off. The following is a Twitter exchange between LC Scotty (@BrisketChuckle) and whatever Joyce Foundation paid worker CSGV has taking care of their Twitter account.
I am trying to wrap my head around the size of such stupid statement. The only conclusion I can come up with is that the idiot behind the keyboard is some recent graduate of a big city High School or College Liberal Arts program in the West (Left) Coast. But what worries me is that CSGV and many of its followers truly believe in the taking of unilateral and unconstitutional actions against gun owners for quite some time now. This blog is full of screen captures of CSGV and its cronies advocating in sometimes less than crafty language for police raids, illegal executions, forceful internments into mental institutions and the disolution of families in the name of Gun Control. We are used to that, nothing new there. But directly advocating the righteousness of piling people in concentration camps without due process and because of religious or ethnic differences according to some court’s “decision” is beyond the pale.
CSGV accuses us of being Insurrectionist because I oppose Gun Control and the measures they intend to use against us. I plea guilty.
Reading the book The Glorious Cause: The American Revolution by Robert Middlekauff. So far I am in page 124 (out of 752) but it is a damn wealth of information. Did you know that back then England had somewhere in the vicinity of 1,600 Governmental regulatory offices? And that they basically had no idea what the Americans wanted or how they lived? That they wanted to concentrate all American commerce via England and only England? That the Parliament was well known for wasting money and eager to tax just about anything that was manufactured, exported and imported? both coming and going?
And why every time I read “England” in the book, my brain translates it to “Washington D.C.”? Why do I suddenly have a hankering for a Kentucky Rifle?
And I haven’t even reached the Boston Tea Party yet….
So I show SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) the 5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt and hinted that I may order one for myself. She looks at me, then at my girth, then gets pensive for a few seconds and says:
“That reminds me I want to go to K-Mart this Saturday and buy some drapes for the dining room. Are you shooting IDPA Saturday?”
Damned woman. She can kill joy in Disneyworld. I guess I’ll stick to pants.
One must remember that the same Prosecutors that decry Stand Your ground because it curtails their ability to send Law Abiding Citizens to prison for thirty years to Life because they were forced to defend themselves are the same Prosecutors that have no problem reducing charges and/or pleading out violent Felons with multiple convictions.
Just saying….
