Moms Demand does not explain how a Gun Free Zone failed so bad.

And as we knew they would do:

Here is a satellite view of the Fort Lauderdale Airport:

That is over 2 miles long and a bit over a mile wide… and the biggest Gun Free Zone in Broward County.  While other Airports in the country may allow the carrying of firearms all inside the airport and up the sterile zone, Ft. Lauderdale ain’t one of them.  If you have flown in or out of this airport, you are familiar with all the entrances with at least two units of the Broward Sheriff’s office on each and officer in uniform all over. Officer in plainclothes? Take your pick as you are sure to have both local and Federal.  Full video surveillance, K-9 units, I would even bet sniffers and other type of sensors. in other words, the perfect place where Shannon Watts and her Financial Pimp would assure us that nothing bad would happen to us because all is safe and only the right people have guns.

And it took one person to bring the whole House of Illusions down.

But that won’t stop Moms Demand and the rest of the Vultures from squawking and begging for more money.

Still early, still many details to be nailed down. But if anybody is still not convinced that TSA is a Security Kabuki of the worse quality…

I am going to expand on that detail in another post.

TSA “security” measures and how they kill.

This is a capture from the video you’d probably seen enough by now:

When I was watching this video the second or third time and thinking what to do and how to help those injured, something struck me like a sledgehammer on the chest: I would probably have to do so without any tools whatsoever, and that means nothing at all in the way of a half assed trauma kit. No gauze, no hemostatic agents, no tourniquets, no Israeli bandage and not even a frigging pen knife to cut sleeves or fashion field expedient bandages. At most, the best one could do would be to have somebody press over a wound with his/her hands as hard as they could and watch the wounded die.

Is it even possible a travel emergency kit that could be taken through the TSA and inside the plane with you? It is worth looking into it. For baseline purposes, let’s say that we are looking into a kit that would fit in a Netbook/ iPad bag (1o x 8 x 1 inches) and a quart zip bag (7 x 7 7/16 x 0.5 inches.) Start giving ideas in the comment section, sizes of the items will help a lot.

And check what the TSA allows in carry-on luggage.

A couple of details in the 2017 Carpetbagger Assault Weapons Ban.

Pistols will now be considered “Assault Weapons”:

The sales of after-market barrels makes almost any semi auto gun ever produced fall into the Carpetbagger Assault Weapon. The semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm comes from the Feinstein Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 2013 bill which was so bad and overreaching, Harry Read dropped in a drawer and nailed it shut. Just the existence of the Glock 18 kills that group of sidearms and there are even auto versions of the 1911.  But you have to give props for the stupid on the slide thing:

Yes, it is that stupid. Of course, since both are capable of accepting magazines with more than 7 rounds (even though there are no 7 round mags for these guns) both are bad-bad-bad guns!

And here is the final nail to the coffin for this bill: Certificate of Possession (A.K.A. Firearms Registration).

Er…. nope. Besides the fact that like other Assault Weapons Registration schemes, this one is bound to be brutally ignored by gun owners and the State will have no capacity to enforce it or maybe even set up the registration process. And, if that was not enough, it is illegal in the State of Florida to maintain a record or database of firearms and owners. It is a felony of the third degree that carries both prison time and monetary fines applied to the person as well as the entity he/she was working for. And again, if that was not enough, public funding is forbidden to be used for such registration and database schemes.

But this is what happens when you have NY Lawyers paid by Bloomberg writing bills for other places.

Yes, I am aware of Ft. Lauderdale Airport.

And as usual, still too early for accurate info.

The only thing I can say is that the myth of the safe airport terminals is finally (if bloody and painfully) over. You cannot carry in the terminal of Ft. Lauderdale (or any big airport in Florida) and you cannot fart without a BSO Deputy, Homeland, ATF and Border Patrol agents complaining about the smell. Every gate has at least 2 patrols cars parked up front. Attacks to airports happened before and it was bound to happen again.

Bloomberg’s The Trace: This is what desperation looks like.

One of the first gun bills introduced in the new Congress proposes to dramatically alter the way states regulate who can carry concealed firearms within their borders. Under the legislation filed by Congressman Richard Hudson, a North Carolina Republican, gun owners — including those from states no longer mandating training or permits for persons wishing to tote hidden pistols — could be cleared to carry in any public spaces across the country that allow guns.

New Bill Would Force States to Allow Visiting Gun Owners to Pack Heat Without a Permit – The Trace

As much as I would love to see Constitutional carry across the nation, I know this is not going to happen and Bloomberg’s The Trace also know it. But this is just desperation, sheer fear that they are losing so bad they have a “moral” imperative to outright lie.  And we cannot simply dismiss the fact that the NYC elites are crapping in their silk undies at the idea that unwashed citizens would be able to carry in their precious city instead of the selected few approved (or paid very well) by them:

And some cities, like New York, have strict rules about who may obtain a license to carry, with the result that very few people do.

New York authorities, for instance, may be forced to allow a tourist from Mississippi — one of the 10 states that now authorizes permitless carry — to be armed while walking down Broadway, with his Mississippi ID the only permission he needs.

Damned Armed Rednecks walking around the Big Apple just like that? We cannot allow that to happen! Next thing we know, our own residents may start demanding an easier way to get their own permits and next thing, they may start believing they do not need the Powers That Be to keep them safe!

The panic in Gun Control community is real.  Ain’t that beautiful?
