Shut up and sing

So the Grammys were hyper political.  Who didn’t see that coming.

Busta Rhymes and Katy Perry decided to go off the rails about Trump’s “muslim ban.”

Just a touch of history for these people:

In 1982, the band The Clash released a song called Rock the Casbah.

It’s sort of catchy as a song, but listen to the lyrics.

The song is a protest song about the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran in which the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini banned Western Music – pretty much everything that wasn’t the call to prayer.

In the words of the Ayatollah:

“Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious. …” (Political thought and legacy of Khomeini, Wikipedia, 20 November 2010)

Iran is one of the nations on Trump’s “ban.”

So…

One of the top musical performances as the Grammys was in objection to a temporary travel ban from a nation that is the world’s leading sponsor of terror, which banned western music, and would force Katy Perry to cover up or be flogged.

Seems legit to me…

What goes around in NYC

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio decided that he and his city were going to stand in defense of the residents of NYC who are here illegally.

I guess Mayor de Blasio is no longer trying to hide the fact that he is a petty tyrant that believes the rule of man is greater than the rule of law.

But what goes around comes around.

Maybe if we knuckle draggers from flyover country go to NYC for some reason, we should bring with us some undocumented immigrants from Prescott, AZ, Huntsville, AL, Smyrna, GA, Exeter, NH or Springfield MA, with us, smuggled in our waistbands.  Not to mention any number of undocumented passengers  greater than sever, that come along for the ride.

If he can disobey the laws he doesn’t like, why can’t we?

I guess that means I can have an undocumented NFA migrant as well, since his people will protect me from the ATF?

It’s an act of peaceful civil disobedience to not obey a law or politician I disagree with.  Isn’t that what the left has been saying since November?

When the Narrative lets you down, run and avoid the issue.

Juts because you point out the obvious

Dear @mari_shepard was referring to a guy who got shot in Seattle when Milo was giving a speech there in January. But things ended up not being quite as the Narrative said they were. Initially:

One man was shot and wounded, several people were hit with paint and officers avoided flying bricks outside the University of Washington’s Kane Hall on Friday night, where Breitbart News editor and provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos addressed a crowd on President Trump’s Inauguration Day. The 34-year-old shooting victim was in critical condition Saturday morning after undergoing surgery, at Harborview Medical Center, spokeswoman Susan Gregg said.A man turned himself in to University of Washington police and was arrested in connection with the shooting, police say.

And the next day, it all changed:

No details about any confrontation between him and the critically wounded man were available Saturday. But one of the law-enforcement officials said the man who fired the gun claimed he had been assaulted before shooting the other man, whom he believed to be some type of white supremacist.

So, some nitwits SJW/Antifa/Anarchist decides to arbitrarily brand somebody unknown as Nazi/White Supremacists and shoots him!

More from the article:

Two people who said they are friends with the wounded man disputed the characterization of him as a supremacist. One said his friend supported Bernie Sanders in the Democratic presidential primary, and both said he sports an anti-hate tattoo that consists of a black swastika surrounded by a red circle with a slash through it.

So I dared to point this out to our @mari_shepard:

I also provided the links and commentary. And as usual , an apology and a thanks for correcting her mistake information was forthcoming… Yeah right!

I love when they behave like this. Listen, we are bound to have bad info and re-transmitting it. If we find out we have been wrong, we man up and correct our mistakes. That gives us both credibility and we improve out information gathering so we pass along good information and not just gossip.  I will bet you dollars to donut holes, she will repeat the same lie because it makes for flashy Twitter posts and truth be damned. Hey, if the Professional Media gets away with it, why would average lefty can’t?

ACLU getting blasted for defending Free Speech.

The ACLU dared to go against the new grain of what is true for the Left and the response from the Agitated was prompt.

How awful must feel for the ACLU to realize they were never a guiding light of paragon, but a useful tool for a selected power-seeking minority? What they need to figure out and soon is if they are going to stand on Constitutional principles or try to remain in the good graces of the Intelligentsia.
